I genuinely think he is worth more £7M - we will not recruit a player who scores 1 in 2 from any league for that money.  Sadly it looks like he will leave for less than his market value as he wants to move.

I imagine 5-6m is probably where we'll be but agree he's probably worth much more than that to us as young strikers are not particularly cheap

£7m is a big fee for a player who has never been a first choice striker, and is still largely potential, rather than proven.

I'd be fairly confident Norwich could replace his immediate contribution for less.

What would be an acceptable fee for Idah? I’m going for £7m with a 25% sell on. What do you think?

£10.50 and then they can throw in Matt O'Riley

I think the fee widely reported - £6m - is fair.

Yep I would say thats about right. Potentially with a sell on clause or appearances increase.

I do think people like to overinflate the transfer values of our players. I guess it's too much Football Manager. I imagine it will be a headline figure of something like £3m, possibly with add ons, but I doubt it will be over £5m in total and nowhere near that up front.

Something somewhat stepped, so £4m upfront, maybe a performance-based payment, and a sell-on clause.

Well, all the reports are stating that Celtic have bid £4.5m plus add-ons and it has been knocked back. £3m would be a big undervaluation for Idah.

Celtic are not known for pushing the boat out but I think we need to hold out for around the 7-8m mark or they can jog on

Lol, I should have probably read some of the gossip before wading in.

Well I agree we should sit tight until they increase there bid to something we find acceptable circa £6m is my view. They seem desperate for him plus their fanbase, so its best we play hardball to increase out pot to sign another striker.

£8m for a 29 year old Neil Lennon in the year 2000, that is crazy money.

I reckon we'd accept £6m plus a decent sell on % for Idah, and that would probably be good business for both clubs.

Don't think we will sell meny players this season. In this marked I think 4 mill is a good deal for Norwich

Yeah I'm of the opinion it gets done for £5-6m fee with a few add-ons. They're selling Oh Hyeon-gyu for £4m whose place Idah took so he is worth more than what is currently on offer. My main aim would be securing a very good sell on %. Celtic are good sellers and if he makes good on his potential up there they could very feasibly sell him in a few years for £15m.

It depends what the add-ons are.

If its £4.5m upfront and then another £500k if Celtic win the title, £500k once he scores 15 goals and £500k once he's played 40 times for them fine.

If its £4.5m upfront then £1m if Celtic reach the final of the Champions League and another £500k if he scores 40 goals in a season then they can do one.

Seems quite straightforward, as transfer go. We all seem fairly settled that 6 + goodies gets the job done.

I suppose we factor in that he most certainly wants to go to Celtic. £6m ish feels fair all around, although I'll be disappointed to see him go.

I’m so torn on Idah. There’s always been this whole thing of him having potential, he shows he can in fits and starts. But hasn’t had a run in the team long enough before injury.

As others have said, there’s the potential, but when do you draw the line. With a new coach, more faith shown in him, better instruction, he could be what we always expected him to be. Then to let him go for 4m would seem a bit silly.

My offer still stands to personally drive him up the M6 if it means I never have to watch him in a Norwich shirt again. He is just about Celtic standard and now where near the capability level to get into the premier league and sustain us there
