He also said history has no reason. He wouldn't go down well on TWTD

So the seasons we finished 3rd, 4th and 5th in the EPL don’t count? They reLly are a bunch of thickos.

Over the last 40 years our average league position is higher than theirs. That obviously doesn't mean anything either.

Other than finishing 3rd in the Prem yes finishing near bottom was our best finish 🙃

No, 4th and 5th were. You were not born in Ipswich by any chance?

It wasn't the Prem when we finished 4th and 5th. Pre-1992, when football began.

Where did we finish in our European season? Mid-table? That and the 11th and 12th (iirc) finishes under Lambert and Hughton are our best PL finishes other than the 3rd place in the first season.

For sake of accuracy, we never finished 4th or 5th in the Premier League. We achieved said places in the old Division One (in those days the top tier of English Football).

How low can Sky stoop? Commentator tonight asked if Sunderland could be this season's Ipswich. How disgusting is that? - and before the threshold too.

on their twtd forum, do they have their own equivalents of our treasured deliberately-controversial Cambridge, vince, dean coney, keith scott etc ?

Are there people posting those enjoyably classic threads along the lines of 'Sheeran out',  'McKenna out', 'if we beat Tottenham this weekend, we'll be relegated', 'our American owners out' etc??

Well the one bright spot from today is that there is now only 1 EPL team who have not won a single match.

Not so long ago I posted their fixtures up to Christmas which don't look promising. Stretching it a bit further to the 18 games after today looks terrifying

Still find it incredible that McKenna is under no pressure after spending £100m+ and not looking like winning a game.

Well they gave him the big contract worth almost as much as the top six teams pay their managers. He fleeced them and robbed them. They can't afford to sack him and he's laughing all the way to the bank

When you're the worst team in the league any fixture list will look terrifying

Ipswich haven’t won a league game since 4th May. An interesting thought. 😁 And don’t see when that’s likely to change looking at the fixture list.

That run of Palace, Bournemouth and Wolves looks potentially season-defining from here. 5-9 points from there keeps them in the discussion, but that Christmas period looks utterly miserable.

One or two key injuries and a heavy hit to the goal difference today would be pretty cool.
