Would be great to have another youngster coming through but a lot could depend if Rowe stays.

I fear another Mumba situation. Kamara's loan was a bit too good and if another's opportunity was to come along, such as Portsmouth, he might well be persuaded.

He's only going to be starter if Rowe goes, and yet surprisngly the Rowe transfer front has been silent.

Once the window opens I think we'll see a lot of interest in Rowe, Sara and Josh.

Agreed on this and I also think we’ll see one if not all move on for temperate fees of 12 mill +. Both Rowe and Josh have patchy injury records and Sara is unproven beyond this level.

You can see that Sargeant being injured currently and Rowe being injured the majority of last season is a blessing and a curse. Values will be lower on that basis and any interest lowered. I think out of everyone I would prefer to see Rowe moved on and no others, but in reality we are looking at a few, unless monies pumped in.

Sargent's injury is a concern both in terms of how long he needs to make a full recovery, and the impact this will have on any interest in him and valuation. He does seem to be taking a long time to get back to fitness. Rowe's injury should be less of a concern and I can see PL clubs showing interest in him. 

It will be interesting to see how much PL clubs spend this summer, their seems to be a lot of focus on FFP, with a number of clubs reportedly needing to sell first before they can buy. Have heard that Man U have a net £35m budget this summer, which is why Tuchel turned them down. It may be more of a buyers market this summer than recent seasons.

Rowe is the one I fear losing the least and I think will probably get the most interest personally.

 

A transfer window where we get good money for Rowe and Kamara steps up wouldn’t be bad at all assuming they think Kamara can do it. Everything I’ve seen and heard makes me think he can and will.

He plays on the edge too, the way he shapes his body when taking control of the ball can be quite unorthodox.  Always concerned he will wring his ankle over when I watch him.

That flexibility is also part of his strengths of course.

It is of course possible that with shifting some players out who were at the end of their contracts, we've freed up money for wages and could possibly have two players for the price of, say, Gibson... Same with Dimi. Both were on good money. And this may help in terms of whether we have to sell or not. 

The one I think most likely to go is Sara, unfortunately. Would love to try and keep him but his stats were so good last season that he will have definitely caught the eye. And I certainly think he could do it at a higher level. Whereas I'm not entirely convinced on Rowe or Sarge's ability to do that. I love all these players but, we've seen it before, new heroes always arise!

It seems clear that Kamara is the next big hope from the academy and a lot of people are getting excited at what he will do BUT…..

he is, as things stand, out of contract at the end of the season. We would be due a fee, which would probably be way below what we could get if he was under contract. This would seem to be a priority for knapper, which I hope is being dealt with.

I think we have an extra year option on both him and Rowe.

According to ‘Feed the Wolf’ on 19/5/24, yes, Rowe has an option but Kamara doesn’t have one.
