Where next, Ben Gibson ?

Recommended Posts

They're supposedly after Sam as well...pushing the boat out, not that their owners can't afford to...

McCallum won't be short of offers. Odd thin ltting him leave. Not the best of defenders but ooked good going forward.

Maybe as with Mumba it was thought he was surplus to requirements given the players lined up to come in.

Well rumours are that hes one of our highest earners and is said to be on 30 to 50 grand a week. We are shifting on the old and those on high wages so makes sense if he's off.

Every time I hear what 'Ben Gibson supposedly earns' it goes up by £5k a week. These figures are laughable.

He was on £17k basic with clean sheet, no yellow card, team win bonuses that made it go to £23k per week. For those interested in actuals

It's like transfers isn't it? We might hear a player cost us £8m but that's rarely up front and usually a package of up front fee, installments and then add-ons and possibly a sell on clause etc.

Some add on clauses are incredibly unlikely like winning a domestic cup etc.

As you know those involved in supporters clubs are gaining more access and control in club decisions through engagement. You learn a lot in these sessions.

So you're in charge of Gibsons wages? Huh. Learn something new every day!

We have some input about direction and therefore who gets new contracts and strategy in terms of transfers. Of course you need to understand budgets, ROI and how they link with MAs investment plans. Therefore some players contracts can get discussed.

Which actually makes the £35k-£40k which is often mooted sound completely accurate... For his Prem season, as we were said to operate with double pay in Prem and 50 percent relegation pay cut clause.

Probably not for much longer if this sort of information keeps getting leaked onto the pinkun forums?

Top trolling.

Supporters groups have absolutely zero say in who gets new contracts or transfers.

If you believe you do I have a bridge to sell you.

Part of the club is far more open to the freedom of information being shared across fans. They see us very much as those that pay to sign these players and therefore have changed their approach. Anything we get told is free to be shared hence why they involve supporters groups. They are expecting us to tell our members

I'm sorry but there is no way you know anything about any players contracts.

That kind of information is personal and part of a contract agreement between both.

An employment lawyer would be all over this, it's personal data and as such protected unless consent it given and I'd be very surprised if Gibson gave it.

This is the best laugh I’ve had for a while. A centre back agreeing to a yellow card bonus. Brilliant.

You'll also be aware that non disclosure agreements exist, especially around financials. So you're either lying for attention or you're breaching governance by leaking information into a public domain. Take your pick.

Contracts tend to have clauses relating to sharing of knowledge across stakeholders. Fans in this case are classed as stakeholders and therefore we the club can share these details. Do you not wonder how certain websites exist that highlight players wages and how the press tend to be fairly accurate with wages when players transfer? This news isn’t revolutionary.

Yeah, Kingy is right, you need to cut it out otherwise a very well known poster will be even more disappointed his harassing of supporters groups hasn't worked in increasing the value of his season ticket so he can sell it on for more and that they haven't found him an investor who'll pay £120 per share or that they haven't asked the club why on earth they thought a woman, A WOMAN, could be a CEO.

Hang on, I have Karen Brady calling me...

When you say supporters groups you mean “stakeholders” who have access to confidential details on employment contracts and remuneration.

as you say next level trolling .

Gibson is on £17k a week is a belter .

That's good to hear and if that is the case then long may it continue, just feels a bit weird after Webber went on a media banning spree and then having Michael Bailey flee to Luton, it felt like a closed shop for a long time.
