And in a constituency just outside Derby (where I live), the Reform candidate has said he’s backing the sitting Tory MP (who is almost universally acknowledged here to be useless) and everyone should vote for her. It’s almost like they’re a bunch of idiots who don’t know what they’re doing. 🤔

Yellow Fever 4,384 Posted July 3 Can't help but think the Tories should be more worried about their likely Super-Minority (in true world beating Johnson prose style - spiffing) than a Labour 'super' majority whatever that means.

This is the bit I don’t get, it just does not make sense to me. Sunak is saying give Labour a super majority and they will be unchecked for TEN years. Is that an admission that they will actually do really well ? As unless I am mistaken a term runs for 5 years and then we can make our mind up again, so people like me can decide whether the change was good ? Yet he has already conceded the next election. I just dislike the Tories trying to talk down or hoodwink the electorate with words like 'super' majority. A majority is a majority in our parliament. The right have become ever more Trumpian. It no longer matters what you say, what lies and deceipts you spread its the result that matters it seems Edited July 3 by Yellow Fever

It's interesting that Gordon Brown gets a lot more praise and credit from abroad for his interventions in preventing the 2008 global financial crisis turning into a genuine complete meltdown of capitalism. Brown has continued to fight ceaselessly for the poor in the UK; a world apart from the fake patriotism and self-serving lies of Farage's so-called concern for ordinary people. Brown think working class people are 'bigots'. He said so. Most Labour politicians think working class people are bigots and dim. So do you. You say it on this forum. The Raptor 1,506 Posted July 3 Well I'm happy. Just put in my claim for all the lying leaflets and polling cards I've delivered over the last few weeks. A Load of Squit 6,187 Posted July 3 The veterans ministers wife (employed by the veterans minister and paid for by tax payers) called the Police because she didn't like some banners some veterans had put up on some railings. Things didn't improve when the veterans minister turned up and continued complaining about the veterans. The sooner Mr & Mrs Mercer are no longer in politics the better, they are odious.
