dylanisabaddog 5,787 Posted May 22 (edited) You will need photo ID to be able to vote (thanks to those who suggested this edit) https://www.gov.uk/how-to-vote/photo-id-youll-need Sunak has announced a General Election on 4 July. I assume he thinks inflation has dropped and it may go back up when the next round of energy charges are announced. FenwayFrank 2,623 Posted May 22 I'm fed up with it already 😀, journalists talking to each other about what might be said, telling us twenty times it's 4th July, what about Keir etc. Might be best I go and hibernate for a few months 😀

Naturalcynic 817 Posted May 22 Still waiting for Sunak’s statement while Beth Rigby prattles on and in the background a loudmouth lefty protester can be heard shouting anti-Tory bile through a megaphone.
dylanisabaddog 5,787 Posted May 22 Hot off the press. Sunak is also going to resign to be replaced by Keiran McKenna. TWTD can't believe he's leaving for such an unimportant job but think the UK will be back in Europe soon. 1

Naturalcynic 817 Posted May 22 Predictably the lefty protester is still being an attention-seeking hate-filled pillock.

Capt. Pants 4,780 Posted May 22 Wisely they've chosen a date that doesn't clash with any Euro 24 fixtures otherwise the turnout would have been even lower. It's going to be a painful few weeks if not years.

It failed miserably in the end and was just a wasted vote. I think there's little prospect of the Tories not retaining South Norfolk and Mrs Pants can't stand Starmer so might as well not bother 😁
Pyro Pete 2,266 Posted May 22 This photo looks like the forced perspective they used in the Lord of the Rings films. When all the props were made extra large, to make the hobbits look small.

It's going to be close, especially because the Conservative candidate lives in Cambridge.
