Fortunate to get to the final imho, not good enough to win it with that style of play.
When on the front foot, we looked dangerous but it happened far too infrequently.

We didn’t Indy to our potential in one single game in that tournament. Gutted as I am we did not deserve to win it. Maybe with a decent coach we have a good shot at the next couple of tournaments. Need to stop wasting time with Southgate.

You moved to France. No one gives a **** what you're proud of.

Well who gives a f*k what you losers think either. It’s them on the pitch trying to win it, not you.

I’ve watched this game sitting next to a Spanish family having a laugh as it went on. They wouldn’t have turned into complete no  bends if they lost.

Get a grip ffs.

I'm not going to blame Southgate for what happened at the end there., he made the rights subs soon enough

That was on the players and was criminal.

Just keep it tight at the back and make sure we take it to extra time, why was Walker caught out being so high up?

At that point we would still have had another 4 subs to use in extra time and our bench was stronger than theirs

Scandalous

Think it's clear now Kane is an utter curse

Given he will almost 35 at the next Euros and today he played like he was double his age I do rather feel he won't be around come the next time so hey, guess we will find out then..

Quite Walker went awol. We did the best we could. Surprised it was that close against the best team in the world at the moment.

It's definitely all Kyle Walker's fault, right?

Are you his wife's lawyer, by any chance?

At least I'm only a nobend when my team lose.

Also, that Spanish family are probably about as real as all your "friends" you have that are conveniently well placed to give you some supporting information for whatever **** opinion the Daily Mail has tricked you into believing.

So say hi to Father Navidad for me.

While everyone is happy to slag off the players I will say at least one player deservers some credit. Pickford. For all the stick and jokes that have been made about him he was pretty good today.

Agreed, I said at the beginning I didn't think England had a good enough team to win it, and possession under pressure was a key part of the reason why. Spain have been the masters of that for some time. Previous England teams weren't as technically adept as this one, but even this team had their limitations in possession as a team exposed a little tonight.

Needs to retire from international football immediately.

So we are about to find out who is the next best striker. Clue, Kane has been one of our best ever strikers. Over ro you TONEY and Watkins, no pressure.

Not sure about that, their winning goal he was questionable! Why was he diving away from the ball and near post? Poor position!

On a positive note it’s now back to domestic football. I think we’ll be a better watch than what we’ve witnessed for the last month.

Yep. He's not a world-class stopper, but his mental game is solid - he turns up for the big games consistently and in an England shirt is consistently near his best pretty much every time he plays.

Pickford is decent at international and does step up at times, but he's not a world class international keeper, our problem is we have no one coming up to displace or really push him.

We've seemed to struggle for real top top class keepers since ol' safe hands was retired by the Ronaldinho chip.

Sorry but no the issue was the all dropped off (again) and stopped attacking (again). At a point when we should have been the ones applying the pressure. That has to come from the bench.

That’s down to that useless **** of a coach. He’s had 8 years to sort out the midfield and still can’t control gsmes through possession. Watch the new coach immediately make Adam Wharton the fulcrum of that midfield and how good we become

Equalised and had momentum. Sat back and allowed Spain to get on front foot again. Frightened to lose rather than go and win. Guess what ...we lost anyway. All these players are used to playing in teams on the front foot yet for England it's knocked out of them. Get a manager who plays to win......but who ?

There are positives. Guehi has come through and played really well. So has Mainoo, Palmer too.

Added to Sakha, Foden Bellingham etc

Commiserations. Spain can do that to anyone. I mean, any team in the world. This isn't the busquets/Xavi/iniesta team, they are a different animal, a bit more chaotic and transitional.

That said, I wish England had been a bit braver on the ball, it could have been a closer match. Walker and Saka in particular were a bit disappointing, lacking sharpness in attack then allowing Williams and Cucurella too much space.

I can take a loss like that a lot easier than the pens against Italy.  We were second best, take it on the chin.

Must say, watching Spain play I was thinking about our own club and the hope for how we'll be setting up next season.

What, like how Kobbie Mainoo emerged and just might become a mainstay of the squad for at least the next ten years?

Spain didn’t follow that brief.
