Duffy starting...thank christ Wagner didnt listen to all those who wanted him dropped for Sorenson

Really? Shocking defender that couldn’t pass a cold. Always liable to gift possession away in dangerous areas

Can’t complain about the line-up. Probably our strongest team.

His footballing ability wasnt the reason many wanted him dropped this week

...but even if it were about his ability, he's a better CB than Sorenson

Ballsy shout for Duffy there. He owes a big performance. That said, Duffy might have his weaknesses in possession, but if you had to pick anyone in the team who'd be up for a fight, it probably would be him.

Not surprised to see Duffy in, bit slightly surprised to see Rowe. I thought Fassnacht may start with Rowe used as an impact option.

Me too. But it does suggest we're 'going for it', which is good to see.

As the Pinkun chaps have just said on their team news video, it's not on Wagner for picking Duffy. Knapper or Zoe, or the club, will have made that decision, its on the board, not the manager.

I wasn't feeling good about this game all week but now I've seen the teams I think we can do something; we've got to start with pure intensity, though. COYY!

Duffy to be todays pantomime villan. Bet he gets booed everytime he touches the ball.

Want him to score just for the banter

Hope he doesn't get booed. I absolutely don't agree with what he did, but he needs help, not negativity.

Having Rowe, Sara and Sainz in the same starting 11 is exciting. On paper anyway.

I was on about the Leeds fans more than our own

The game hasn’t been played yet. Bit early to judge performance.
And those thinking he should be dropped weren’t saying so for footballing reasons.

Doubt he’s widely booed. Once he’s on the pitch he should be supported. Albeit IMO he shouldn’t be on the pitch today. But as he is he need a big performance

Fair enough. Seems like the atmosphere will be pretty loud, boos might not make a difference.

And legally, and procedurally, the Board could probably not do anything but allow him to play. We are where we are. COYY!

I’d have preferred to drop McLean into defence than have both Duffy and Gibson there and had a chance of keeping possession and building play. The two at the back are a liability on the ball when playing together, They gift possession away and slow the tempo to walking pace

I am surprised at the inclusion of Gino in the starting eleven.A bit unfair on McCallam as he has performed pretty well while in the team. Both have their weaknesses but I prefer McCallam for his heading ability and crosses

Think that’s the strongest side we could put out (although I’d have stuck with McCallum)

I was quite confident until I then looked at the Leeds team (they really should’ve made automatic with that squad).

We CAN do it though! OTBC

Gibson and Sorenson back 2 would not be able to deal with balls into the box, both are weak in the air.

The only viable substitute for Duffy if we want to remain competitive is Hanley, and question marks over whether he is currently fit.

Those asking us to ditch Duffy were basically asking the club to forego the chance of a £100m+ promotion, an unrealistic and silly ask. If we want to punish Duffy we can do so by leaving him out of a 25 man Premier League squad after he's helped us get there.

Given all at stake I do feel the only way Duffy would not have been in the team today was if he were still locked in a prison cell
