Our goals against suggests otherwise.

Why would it? If the defence in front of Gunn has been poor and he's had no chance with the goals that he's conceded and has made a string of match winning saves then he deserves to be in the running for keeper of the season.

Ive not really seen enough championship games to judge it. He's been excellent this season though. Possibly the best keeper we've had since his dad

Off the top of my head, personally I would have Green, Ruddy, Forster and Krul as better keepers in that period

Poor defence means more opportunities to shine. Deserves to be in the running, but the best?

Personally I liked Chris Woods.

Spot on, these were far better. Green was exceptional.

Yep, Greeno was and still is my all time favorite ncfc player ( was the reason I played in goal as a kid ) some of the saves that man could pull out of  nowhere were truly world class.

I'd argue that Tim Krul at his best for us was the better of the two, although he did seem to go downhill towards the end. His command of the box was often outstanding.

Also, what about the ever reliable John Ruddy? Wasn't he player of the season at Brum at the fine old age of 38?

I think that we will all agree that City have been blessed with some excellent keepers over the years. (Possibly not all - this is the Pink Un!)

For me, Angus is one of the best of the current Championship goalkeepers but he would not yet be in my top 5.

Keelan, Woods, Bryan Gunn, Ruddy and Krul, although the order does change!

I can’t think of a better Championship keeper this season personally. Look at that muppet in goals for the binners and they got autos.

Well done Angus, fully deserved.

You could argue that, without Gunn, it would be A LOT worse.

Strange how that seemed to happen to all the keepers in and around the England squad at that time. All of them very good at club level, but as soon as they turned out for England they all went to $hít.

Fabio Capello didn't do very well as England coach, but his introduction into the English language of the phrase 'the heavy shirt' was a significant contribution.

I can't understand why a minority of posters on here want to actively trash Gunn at every opportunity. I don't know how he compares with our keepers of the past, but I do know that we would almost certainly have fewer points if, say, Long had been between the sticks.
