Amankwah is the surname on Fotmob - which confirms it for me!!!

Left footed, 21, 5 foot 8, started 14 games in the Austrian Bundesliga last year but played in 23 scoring twice with two assists. 

Primarily a CM but has been pushed on.

Made the mistake of watching some highlights (I know) 

Seems to be a real playmaker and not afraid of a tackle. Lots of footage of him advancing through central areas, but also coming in from the right.

CS has said we're in the market for an attacking 8 and a wide player that can play centrally. So your mileage may vary on which of those he might be (if true)

This would make sense, as Thorup had a lot of Ghanaian players at Nordsjaelland through the Right To Dream academy.

The thought had occurred to me that if true, JHT brought a little bit of mental data with him from Norway.

I was about to say 'yet another new nationality', but I've since found out that we've already had a Ghanaian play for us before.

Just watching some highlight videos, and he likes a cross-field ball, looks like he has a nice touch, dribbles at pace and loves coming inside to hit shots off his left.

Not saying he's as good as highlights have their limitations, but there does look to be something a little bit Buendia-esque about him.

If it happens, my guess is that it'd be initiated by Thorup and ratified by Knapper. Although I'd imagine that the two of them would've drawn up an extensive list of targets very early on this summer, based around which players we were most likely to lose (and, of course, the ones we've lost already; hence the moves for Chrisene, Doyle and Cordoba to fill the left-sided defensive gap).
