Leeds Fans Trust Complains re Play off Ticket Prices

Recommended Posts

The Yorkshire Post reports the complaint concerning category A prices in most of their stands being higher than the reciprocal £36 charge for away adults in addition to the fact that all adult tickets were charged at £26 in their 2019 play-off.

Something which we did not do, hence charging £36 everywhere. However no doubt you will still complain-I’m sure that it’s Zoe’s fault.

Some people will moan about anything.

£26 in 2019 is the equivalent of £32.08 today. Whinging about less than £4 but will no doubt be chucking their £6 pints all over the concourse ceiling at half time. 🙄

Walkers crisps available @ £2.50 a bag in the concourse though. Win some and lose some.

Part of Leeds defence is that the 50% gate receipts kept by the 4 competing clubs is pooled between them which means they are subsidising the other three. This will be particularly the case for WBA who are charging Southampton supporters £28 Adult, £23 OAP and £17 for 20 to 25 year old.

Southampton have graded priority for these as ST holders +13 away games then plus 12 away games then plus 11 away games. They have sold out at that point.

Why did you claim we only got allocated 1600 away tickets ?

Does anyone know? The other 3 clubs quote their allocation on their website.

That's really bad after reading it , so they all have to share it , but Leeds fans are paying 47 pounds a ticket.  Surely all 4 clubs should of charged fans the same.

That would be a good solution. As a rough calculation of the 25 percentage points each taken by each club the contribution ratio is likely to be something like 38,22,22,18 with the front number being Leeds fans contribution and the last one WBA. That reflects ground capacities as well as differential pricing with some crude estimates on the latter.

What with Leeds fans whining, ours too, it's makes you wonder what on earth makes people happy nowadays.

If you don't like the price, don't buy the ticket, simples. No one has a device right to an extra game at any price.

What a great answer to a pretty simple question you were asked.
