Going to the Preston game?

Last nights Lancashire Evening Post did a story about peoples cars being broken into during Pne''s home games. Seems to be in the areas around the terreced streets near the ground.  Sat nav''s have been pinched and stereos.  So watch where you park if you go in the car.

This is bad news, but fear not.  There are two pubs further down the road where fans can park (and two pubs which welcome away support). Also directly opposite the front entrance to the ground is a car park (part of a real park!).  Easy to get into if you get there early enough.  Further down the road the ground is on there are a few shops and cafes etc.  There is also, shock horror, a cafe/bar near the front of the ground, next to the football museum, which is a must see.  Wish I was going to be honest, PNE is a great away trip..... Obvioulsy precautions can be taken to minimise likely abuse from idiots who want to steal stereos etc...

Thanks for the warning.  Looking forward to it.  Always enjoy my trips to Preston - usually a good atmosphere.
