Could be the game that decides our season

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately I think this is the game that will see us not making the playoffs, with the games in hand and us away at Preston , no chance all too late

Nah we would have taken 4 pts from Ipswich and Sheff Wed and being 5 pts ahead of Coventry.

Sheff Wed gave us more problems than Ipswich, who wouldn't have scored had they been still been playing now.

Our season won’t be decided nor defined by the result tonight. The game management which cost us 2 points tonight has however been an Achilles for us repeatedly.

Onwards & sideways!

Preston have Soton and WBA away, us and Leicester at home - really cant see them getting enough out of those but we sure need a point against them

5/2 to finish outside the top 6, fill your boots if you’re that sure.

Could be an interesting last day! If Covvy win their game in hand and are within two points we’re going to Brum……would they throw the game to keep local rivals out the top six?😉

Brum may need to win anyway

Yellowhammer isn't a Norwich fan.

Ignore.

I had 5/1 to be in the top 6. Should I cash out?

Hedge the bet slightly that we fail. I think we’ll be fine but just do a cover. Avoid defeat at Preston and that might wrap it up.

Me and Indy actually have a bet on this…

For PUPS 🙃💛💚

We do indeed and I’m paying up £30 regardless of where we finish…….i can’t remember but do we have a season pledge thread too? I can’t remember what I pledged now at the start of this season! 😂😂😂

It won’t come to £30 for either of us.
I’ll have to find the season one when I get home. I know I’ve got a quid for every 5/6 and I think £2 for every PUP canary challenge that finishes above PUPnutty.

I know but I love the cause and it’s worth every penny.

Nah, we'd have taken these 4 points if they came from a draw vs scum and a win at Wednesday. It's the dropping a 2 goal lead again that is the main gripe. But hey, the other team is allowed to change things to get something from a game too.

4 points is fine. We're still very much in control of our destiny and I still think we'll end up 5th.

Every now and again Wagner reminds me why he is not the man to move this club forward.

Can’t blame Wagner for players not taking clear cut chances. Both Stacey and Sara should have put the game to bed in the second half after the subs were made.

After the game Wagner said the substitution of Sargent was tactical and not a fitness issue and what on earth was the substitution of bringing on Duffy all about in the 89th minute when the damage had been done. It should have happened once we conceded the first goal.

Ten away games this season in which we have taken the lead have resulted in 24 dropped points. The big picture is that some questionable tactics and substitutions have caused that.

I think after last night is going to the last day and for us to not rely on results elsewhere we’ll need to win 3 out of the last 4 meaning we’ll have to win an away game!!

Then again, it could well not be. We'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah I agree with that and the rate we’ve crumbled when in front is appalling but I believe the players on the pitch have to hold a lot of the responsibility for Tuesday night. The two chances I’ve mentioned were big chances that should have been taken and had they have been no one is questioning the sub of Sargent, we’re then just happy he’s rested for the next game.

All that does is prevent Preston.. a draw will open it up for again Cov and Hull or Boro (depending on tonight’s result).

We need to win the next 3.

Well, Coventry are at home to Hull on the 24th April, so one or both of them might be out of the picture after that. Hopefully.

None of these things. Currently the best of the rest will get to 71 points on the basis if their previous 42/41:games. Which means 6 points from 4 games as some poster predicted recently will get us to 74 with 2 points to spare.
