Earnshaw's goal celebration!!

Recommended Posts

Oh dear oh dear!! What can I say! The backwards somersault he did is trademark Earnie and flair but that little dance by the corner flag?? No..... just NO!!!! I suppose i''ll excuse it if he keeps banging in the goals but in future Earnie please just stick to the somersault! ;-)

(Before someone has a go at me for trying to find negativity in everything this post is suppose to be light hearted in a jokey sense!!)

I liked Earnie''s little jig, the boy''s got rhythm! I''m fed up with players all trying to give it the moody Henry style subdued goal celebrations. I want to see them go nuts like me!

Just love great goal celebrations.

I hated Ashton''s by the way.

Which one Deano''s celebration was not great?

i am not a fan of these flips etc... they put so much pressure on the ankles and knees... i wish Earnie would stop it!

He was trying to make a point, I think - with the digging. Digging what? Trenches, against all the snipers? Digging themselves an even deeper hole? Or was he saying he''s prepared to get his hands dirty? Whatever, I loved it. I want to see it at least once every game.

Earnie''s is hilarious, I liked his celebration when at the end of his spell at West Brom. He did the trademark flip and then got his imaginery machine gun out - class!

I loved Flem and Iwans "Swan Dive" away to Crewe the season we went up, Flems was have respectable, Iwan just flopped on the floor, hahahahaha!

ashton''s were normally pretty subdued I''ll agree, but his "jolly good show" bows-and-handshakes-all-round at Bramall Lane over xmas was pure class

I have written before about the affinity between supporters and players.

It was hard to love Ashton for some reason, likewise, for example: Etuhu, Robinson, Colin, Louis Jean and perhaps for various reasons.

What is the X-Factor which causes fan affinity? If it was exuberance then Hughes would have been a legend by now, but that works for McKenzie and Earnie.

It is obviously a diverse thing and character based. But in the meantime isn''t it great to begin to love various members of the team (in a supportive and manly way of course) again.

The gentlemanly hand-shakes at Sheff Utd were very amusing, a smart-arsed response to McVeigh being booked for over celebrating his goal I think. Ashton also did a funny Saturday Night Fever number after scoring against Plymouth this season.

I wish he would do the Machine Gun I think it is awesome. I do feel that a player is gonna get injured doing these somersaults somewhere soon.

Personally I like to see a celebration with a bit of passion in it. It annoys me when they just walk away like nothing has happen like they don''t care. Every goal should be special!

i agree.  i want some ooomph when you score a goal.  run

around a bit.  raise your hands in the air.  make it look

like you care.  enough of this namby-pamby "i''m too cool to get

excited" bollox.
