I've watched five or six games from the tournament and this was probably the least watchable, in all honesty. Not really one for the neutral. Hopefully Nigeria win the final, as Ivory Coast would be rather undeserving winners, in my opinion. As the host nation, they lost two of their three group games, including getting pumped 4-0 by Equatorial Guinea in one of the games I watched, and scraped through as the fourth best of the four third placed teams to qualify. Basically they sneaked through because Zambia didn't get the draw they needed in the final game of the final group match. The Equatorial Guinea defeat should've been Africa's 'Brazil 2014' moment. It should be an interesting final though; Ivory Coast are the hosts and have a strong team on paper, and Nigeria are probably the best team there (although Senegal may beg to differ). Hopefully they both bring their shooting boots, as both sides have struggled for goals so far in the tournament. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

You can see why though. I saw the final group game when they hammered 4-0 in their home tournament by a relative minnow in Equatorial Guinea, and the coach just spent the entire match standing on the touchline with a face like he'd lost a tenner and found a fiver whilst not really saying or doing anything.
