Dean Astons gone and he wanted to go can we just forget about him yes he was a good player yes he had bags of potential but hes gone and im sick of reading post everytime he scores someone saying did you see ashtons goal? if you wanna follow him and his career go and support west ham. Lets talk a little more about our forwards and the goals they score.

Yeah lets not dwell on the total incompience that allowed such a great

player to walk away. Pointless discussing anything that may help

prevent similar catasrophes. Lets just act like the blind mice and go

along with everything shall we, after all we still have Andy Hughes to

admire week in week out, like Holt before him, one of the great

playmaking entertainers of our time. How many fans of other teams would

gladly stump up £300+ a season to admire his silky skills eh?

You can''t keep players who want to go. Presumably the people who were supposedy incompetent in letting him go (in your view) weren''t the same people who were the only ones who would take a gamble on him last season and brought him to the club? Loads of premiership teams had watched him, but didn''t think he was good enough.

Why are you whingeing about Hughes and Holt? They aren''t endowed with the same skills of other players but teams need players who do the sort of job they do. You can''t all stand around with your fingers up your @rse waiting for someone else to get the ball.

Clearly the man had had a charisma bypass operation, I don''t miss him as a personality but do acknowledge his ability which looking at the match against Man City West ham are not yet playing to. His thought process was well ahead of his colleagues on several occasions and he didn''t get the ball he wanted.

Don''t forget too that Sven was watching and young Deano is ever the opportunist.

I lkind of agree with you about Hughes and Holt.  Holt was far better defensively however than hughes, he hassled and harried whereas Hughes just dives in like a schoolboy footballer...
