The Raptor 1,573 Posted January 1 I posted this 1st of January 7 years ago. Im still going! Only 11 games left this year though. Norwich City board and players. I remember a time when I used to enjoy going to Carrow Road on a Saturday afternoon. Those days have gone and now I'm indifferent about it. I work hard for my money and it can be spent on other things. You have 12 games to convince me otherwise. Good luck 😀
ricardo 8,034 Posted January 1 A good lesson in the cyclical nature of football. Somewhere ahead the arrow will begin to point upwards again but we may bump along the bottom for an unkown length of time.
hogesar 10,762 Posted January 1 Yep, everyone thinks this bad moment is the bad moment but it's very much the nature of supporting a team outside the big 8 or whatever

Those days have gone and now I'm indifferent about it. I'm a casual, go to probably about 40%-50% of home games, last one I went to was Preston. I've got a rheumatoid arthritis which flares up fairly frequently so I'd leave an empty seat too often to justify a season ticket, especially when there is no demand for the buybacks. I really begrudged paying £6 for a cheap mechanically recovered chicken hotdog at Preston in a long life bun, was running late so didn't have the chance to grab something on the way, just feels exploitative. That's half of a decent pub meal. The football experience is so sanitised and generic now as well. Miss the nineties and noughties, paying for a programme in cash, the Ladbrokes chap taking a bet just before kick off, rammed at half time jostling to get a pint, bit of an edge to the atmosphere, there has been a very obvious Americanisation of the game at Premier League level and just below. Go to a League Two game and you still get that old feel of real football and real fans.
Corbs1 167 Posted January 1 Yep, Klopp complained about atmosphere at Anfield recently, and I listened with interest to a Pool fan on radio. He said He doesn’t go anymore, club have sold their soul, basically commercialised and sanitised. Where are they in the league? We need to see bigger picture as fans and avoid implying some catastrophe has befallen our club uniquely.
