A plea to anyone attending the AGM

Recommended Posts

Please, please, please if you are going do not just politely and unquestioningly  clap Delia, MWJ and Zoe snd leave them to their delusion that everything’s ok and those unhappy are just a moaning minority. Please do not be disarmed by Wagner being a nice bloke or by the board trying to head off any criticism by focusing on things like the mental health campaign (laudable though it was). Nothing will change until those in the inner sanctum have the level of supporter despondency and frustration laid on the line to them through face to face interactions with real supporters. So to those going I implore you to take this opportunity and politely but firmly give them a feel for the level of discontent and the need for change now.

I don’t know how they do it these days but I would suggest through polite but critical questions during the Q&A

Shareholders are allowed to email questions in but guess they Cherry pick the easy less confrontational ones to answer

I was going thinking more along the lines of requesting a nice Hazy IPA be added to the drinks menu. Can’t get on with Wherry these days, they can’t pour Guinness properly and lager is too gassy.

How about suggesting they hold over the voting in of Directors to the end of the meeting so that they can earn it during the meeting?

Sure we’ll hear how well the women’s team are doing

Can’t imagine we’ll be given the top 26 club  spiel this time

Richard Balls and a few others on Twitter are urging people to vote against the re-election of MWJ and Tom Smith.

Can anyone explain what happens if they aren’t re-elected? Does Michael have to forfeit his shares or something? Galway Roast coffee gets banned?

If you want change get out and do something, protest outside the meeting, don't sit on an internet message board and pathetically ask someone else to do it for you.

Regards the mental health campaign the club promotes, I think our dross football has affected 20000 fans mental health, in bad way. We all feel very low and cheesed off with the whole club and for me it does affect my happiness level.

To improve our mental health we need big changes at the club and entertaining football.

I note the local press are not permitted to provide live updates throughout, and David Wagner will not be present…

The story I have read says it is thought he won’t be present. Which doesn’t surprise me.

Not the point is it.

They will get elected anyway by reversion to a  poll by number of shares if necessary but if enough fans vote against they will know that it is under sufferance and hopefully realise the issues need addressing.

I thought it was usually the custom that the Head Coach doesn’t attend the AGM.

If I was Wagner and there’s an option it’d be a no brainer to stay well clear tonight.

Its something they  have recently instigated. Farke was always there as was Lambert.

They will be re-elected because ultimately the other directors can carry the vote. It’s not much more than a protest vote.

Thanks for that. I’ve attended many AGMs over the years but I live 3 hours away from Norwich, have been to two matches in the last week and need to take an U11s training session so I can’t get there tonight. All I’m asking is that people who can go don’t give them the easy ride they often get because they take that as an endorsement and evidence that those who are unhappy are a whinging minority.

Shame Balls doesn't have the same open-mind. He's blocked me, which to be fair is basically a badge of honour.

I think you should pass that thought one to a few unless of course your tongue is firmly in your cheek which of course i cannot imagine.
