Yes his lifestyle is probably not on a level we could afford, but, money isn't the end all in life. This is true, I was laid off from a managerial position 15 years ago, I went for an interview at a new company (still here), the manager was concerned he couldn't offer a salary to match my previous one my reply was "I'm currently on zero so anything is an improvement", got the job and had to confidence in my ability to work my way back up anyway.
