S_81 1,101 Posted October 24, 2023 How many of the usual dross-enabling crowd on here still want Wagner to remain in charge? Surely by now you can see that this is more than just Sarge and Barnes being injured? And if you want Wagner to stay - surely that’s not because you believe he can get this side or any Norwich side promoted?
Christoph Stiepermann 1,260 Posted October 24, 2023 Nah i've lost patience. I like his style of football in possession but we're just a mess without it. You shouldn't be relying on two extremely hard working forwards to make the pressing system work you should be able to coach any players into doing it, it's not skill based it's all mentality, work rate and coaching so it's on him if we're getting played through so easily. I like him, I like the fast counter attacks and wingplay but I've really reached my limit with us being so easy to play through and defensively useless. Our defence is putting us under so much pressure to the point it's affecting our attacking play by making us rush and force things and flap when we get chances. I don't wanna go back to the Hughton days but with the quality and type of player we have we need a coach that gets teams well organised, hard to beat and good on the counter.

I genuinely have no idea who you are referring to there - personally I don't have any strong feelings about keeping or getting rid of Wagner, we could certainly do worse and in fact we already have when the idiot Webber hired Dean Smith. Equally we migh,t if we got really got lucky, do a little better than him but it seems highly unlikely to me that we can get anyone who can polish this absolute turd of a squad assembled, quite expensively, by Webber. Webber is the problem and is entirely responsible for the utter shambles of the last two years. He should have gone long ago but surely since we are now only a few weeks away from finally getting shut of him it makes no sense at all to let him make any more decisions about the club. This season is already a write off so the only sensible thing to do is surely to let the new guy to take a proper look at the whole setup and see what he can do, whatever that might involve. But unless he is a miracle worker or the Academy has another half dozen of Rowe's calibre just waiting to burst onto the scene then I think we need to brace for a lenghty spell of mediocrity which is going to be pretty hard to take when you consider that if Webber hadn't been such a stupid egotist Daniel Farke would have still been in the home dugout on Saturday. Quality wise mid to upper Championship overall so shouldn't be playing like we're superior to other teams or anything too intricate because we're not good enough to do it. Type of player? Dimi, Stacey, Rowe, Placheta, Sainz = pace and directness and ability to run with the ball so we'd be good on the counter. Our CB's are all slow so shouldn't be playing too high and our strikers are the type who are much better when they have a bit of space so hitting teams on the break would suit them. they're not technically brilliant or have clever movement so would be better at finishing off crosses and cutbacks instead of receiving through balls or waiting for technical players to find them with a killer pass in a crowded penalty area. Canary Wundaboy 1,423 Posted October 24, 2023 Get him gone. I know the squad isn’t the best in the league but tactically we look awful and we see the same issues game after game with no improvement. There’s no evidence of his coaching having any effect, his tactics aren’t paying off and the results speak for themselves.
