Middlesbrough Predictions

Recommended Posts

Norwich 0 Middlesbrough 12

Howson treble hat-trick, Bernie Slaven with the others. Springett to miss two penalties.

Snake Pit give a rousing rendition of “One Michael Carrick!” at the full time whistle while a crying Ben Gibson is consoled pitch side by his Uncle Steve.

Wagner announces in the PMI that a statue of Webber is to be unveiled at the AGM with HOF inductions for him, Zoe and Ricky Martin.

Hope I’m wrong.

Bernie Slaven, that's a blast from the past! I saw him play for Ireland!

Another team that breaks swiftly and is a real threat on the counter attack,  they have pacey dribbles carrying a real threat,  precisely the thing we don't defend well against.

I'm confident that we cam score, the starting XI carries a goal threat, but we will need 2 or 3 to win.

Fortunately boro are not in the same class as Leeds so will be closer.

Difficult to predict, Boro don't have the same attacking threat as Leeds but they're not conceding many. City don't often fail to score at home so I'll go for a 1-1 draw.

Same starting 11, we will probably score a goal or two only to fall apart, our defence to act like clowns and let in useless goals and end up losing.

The happy clappers will still clap and Wagner will come out and say he saw positive signs and that he thinks we played alright.

Assuming Gunn is out for a while, it will be a big night for Long.

Otherwise an unchanged team as the oncoming subs were terrible.

Another narrow defeat as we don't have the players for the job I'm afraid.

Does anyone know why our game on Tuesday isn’t on the Sky red button, because the other games on Tuesday are?

No idea but probably just as well.

Middlesbrough have somehow suddenly gone from Championship whipping boys to top six contenders. It seems like the reverse for us.

We desperately need a morale boosting win but I think we’ll go down by the odd goal, 0-1 or 1-2.

Difficult to predict this one. I believe if Duffys second header was allowed in the Leeds game, when I think it should have been, we would have gone on to win the Leeds game and we wouldn't be in this position. However, we are where we are and Norwich seem to be developing this lack of backbone again, accompanied with poor in game management from Wagner. Im going for 2-2, as we always look like conceding

So hard to be optimistic at the moment. I dread to think where we will be in the table after a poor result. One nil loss.

Sky are showing it on the red button.

Yeah, red being the power button on the controller - to bring a swift end to the inevitable pain of watching Wagner cost us the game

Lose and manager will be sacked

I’d take the loss if so. But sadly there’s more losses to come until someone does the correct thing and gets rid of Wagner

2-1 Norwich. We're average, not total sh*t, and we'll be hurting after Saturday. Middlesbrough are a good team but not as good as Leeds. It's entirely possible for us to play well and win, so I'm going for that.

My prediction is the crowd will be announced as 26,200 when in fact there will only be 23,000 in attendance which will become 14,000 at the final whistle if we are losing.
