Channon’s Windmill 240 Posted September 12 Dunk looked sound at the back, Bellingham class and Foden sharp, comfortable but a good performance all round, lots of crisp passing …happy days…watched it in Scotland too so keeping my head down now.
Capt. Pants 3,516 Posted September 12 C4 and Souness going a bit overboard. England played well but they are way off the likes of France and Argentina. We haven't had that much time and space in midfield for games. Ukraine were way better than Scotland.

If it was a conscious decision from Kane then fair play. Support your team mates.

Newtopia 489 Posted September 12 Southgate has a real challenge keeping Saka, Rashford, Foden, Grealish, Bellingham, and Maddison involved and happy.
cambridgeshire canary 5,801 Posted September 13 (edited) Look, Maguire may be a decent player. There's no doubt he would slot into most midtable teams perfectly. But was he worth 80 million? Is he worth playing in a top six or top three side? No. Is he worth somehow gettig to start almost every match for England? No. Is he the worst player the world has ever seen? No, there are far worse. Fact is hes super low on confidence and Southgate chucking him on at half time presumably for a confidence boost during a heated scotland england match was bizzare and does him no favours If you ask me Maguire would probably be better off making a move, presumably to another country and a new club for a fresh start away from, well; everything that's going on Edited September 13 by cambridgeshire canary
DraytonBoy 107 Posted September 13 Maguire had the chance to join West Ham over the summer but wanted to go to a 'bigger club', the guy's deluded if he thinks a top PL or European club will come in for him now so needs a reality check or risk his career petering out. I get Southgate has his guys he trusts but in a friendly where we were winning 2-0, un total control and with Colwill and Tomori on the bench there was no reason to bring Maguire on at half time. He's been put in the firing line when it was easily avoidable.

Actually I have it on good authority he just doesn't fancy living in London. He's settled in the north, happy with his career to date and still thinks he has a chance at MaunUre. Capt. Pants 3,516 Posted September 13 Maddison must be thinking bollix I picked the wrong time to be alive! Bellingham further forward looks immense. Rice will also start every game and I thought Phillips played well too. That midfield really clicked last night. Just need to sort that back 4 out.... Hopefully Stones will be back for Italy, then it's a choice between Dunk and Maquire.

Yeah we're absolutely ridiculously stacked for talented attacking midfielders. You can probably only start 3 of Rashford, Maddison, Saka, Foden, Grealish and if we think Bellingham is best placed further forward then add him in too. Plus it was a friendly so the absolute ideal time to blood Colwill and Tomori and look to the future.

Captain Holt 452 Posted September 14 Many things to think about Harry Maguire and whether he should be in the squad or not. It's very important to realise he is a human being with a family and thoughts going through his head every night. He also was part of the most successful England side that most of us have ever seen. Keep going son.
zema abbey football genius 34 Posted September 14 Scotland were pretty average / verging on sh1te. Their fans were brilliant though - did anyone else hear the rendition of ‘Boogie Woogie’ at HT? Class! The atmosphere at Wembley is embarrassing in comparison.

We were absolutely mediocre. We got what we deserved. For some reason we just didn't show up. I could tell from kick off that something was off Agree about the fans, though. Amazing fans.
