bringbackchippy 53 Posted September 2, 2023 A big lack in quality was there for everyone to see. Gibbs, Plachetta, Springett, Stacey, all abysmal, nowhere near good enough performance! Very worrying!

GodlyOtsemobor 2,830 Posted September 2, 2023 (edited) Is it "very worrying" after the start we've made? Or is it a game where we weren't on it today and missing our main forward who works like a steam train up top. Have a cup of tea, chill out and hope that Hwang can emulate Sarge when he comes in and we cut out the sloppiness. Leicester lost today after their start too. It happens. ncfc-tom 54 Posted September 2, 2023 It wasn't a lack of quality when we was starting well this season. Rotherham beat us because of a much better 1st half leaving us to chase the game. We lost, this match will not define our season.
Branston Pickle 4,149 Posted September 2, 2023 I’m sure we’d have settled for 10pts after 5 games (3 away). Rovrum will have been given a kick up the backside after the non-show midweek and it was always going tomake it tough. We should have done better but we move on.
DraytonBoy 249 Posted September 2, 2023 Just one of some very odd results, Leicester lose at home to Hull who were awful against City, Southampton get thrashed by Sunderland and Leeds fail to score against Sheff Wed who had lost all of their previous games. bringbackchippy 53 Posted September 2, 2023 If you understand Football you can see that these players arnt good enough. Nothing to do with 1st loss of season 1

Yada yada yada let’s wait until we’ve really had a blip before criticising the team shall we? all the above that you’ve mentioned have performed admirably over the season so far, as much as one swallow doesn’t make a summer, one stinker doesn’t make a winter either. sit back, relax and enjoy the international break

keelansgrandad 6,680 Posted September 2, 2023 He is right. There was no quality today. Of course its only one defeat. But its the current game and it was poor. Forget the previous four games. Tomorrow, forget this one and wait for the next one.

splutcho 196 Posted September 2, 2023 Yes it wasn't good enough today but this must be some sort of record for biggest overreaction.

mrdi 411 Posted September 2, 2023 Hyperbole. Results elsewhere prove that as is usually the case in the Championship, anyone can beat anyone on the right day. We’ve already come on leaps and bounds from how we finished last season.

This, if this was the team of last year we wouldn't have got one back let alone kept going and created more chances, we looked miles better second half, still not 100% but better than the first - something we never done last year when going behind. It's all about how we come back from the break now.

canarybubbles 2,199 Posted September 2, 2023 I agree with the poster. There was a lack of quality today but what can you do when you don't have much money? Wagner/Webber have gambled on reducing the technical ability in the squad and replacing it with physicality and effort, which basically seems sensible given our financial limitations. So far this season it's worked. We'll have to see if it works long-term. 2
