Graham Souness was more accurate  , the word he used was ..... ' Gulf ' .

I am the least nationalist  on here but i love footy, and that was a good fun game.    2 teams, one clearly better than the other, the lesser side gave a decent account but class, aggression  and nous comfortably won out.

Nothing to do with injuries. Gross has been ever present and Milner is mainly been used at right back.

He wasn't poor at Norwich. He was just levels above his team-mates. The nuances of his game was just ahead of them.

I don’t know if any of you follow horse racing, but he is basically Killer Instinct (Trained by Henry Cecil about 25 years ago).

Morning glory. Great trainer, enthusiastic, just never brings what you see in the mornings to the track/pitch.

Football is, like horse racing and all sport, about levels and Billy Gilmour for all his talent isn’t fit to lace the boots of the likes of Bellingham, Foden, Rice, Maddison, Grealish, Saka, Ricky Van Wolfswinkel…

He just doesn’t have enough about him to impose himself on a game against top opposition. I hope he has a decent career though and maybe, in time, he’ll develop attributes that make him more impactful. But he’s waaaaaaay off currently. I’d take a long retired Paul Scholes with no training, a replacement hip and a set of crutches over him right now.

He's played less than 100 league matches. Let's see what he's like after playing 200+ matches.

The Paul Scholes thing is ridiculous, though. I love Scholes to bits, but he can't even even run.

Why not just say that you'd rather dig up Ray Wilkins and play him over Gilmour.

Maybe you should call De Zerbi with that idea.

I felt for Souness. I could see the rage in his eyes. He was flicked off.  Spoke honestly tho. Scotland didn't turn up and the best team won. Harry maguire tho. He's done surely

Nice try, but no, not in the way you used it.

You highlighted the wrong bit of the first definition there. 'Either' only works as signifying more than two if you have 'given' alternatives, for instance: "Gunn was not at fault, either for the first, or the second, or the third goal"

And you conveniently left out the rest of the definition, which included the section relevant to your original post.

Why do we need to wait for him to play 200+ matches when you were very sure he'd walk into England's midfield and run rings around England last night?

The fact that Phillips walks onto the pitch having played naff all minutes in the past year and looks 10 x the player of Billy tells you all you need to know.
