You’re absolutely right CC

But I don’t think I’ve ever seen the expression ‘Gee’ used outside of an American 70s teen movie as much as you use it lol

fair play

Bizarrely overrated by a number of our fans, average at best and if he wants to continue as left back he hugely imbalances most formations.

I would much, much rather have Gianoullis and I don't really rate Gini defensively..

Shh, don't tell the binners. Knowing heading south he will probably be here soon to gloat about their new "world class fullback who hates norwich" so let's all pretend he is indeed great to lure them into a false sense of security 😉

Apparently Ipswich are selling their best FB to Sheff Utd, and replacing him with this joker.

Already unravelling at the Portaloo

I Would buy him plenty of potential ,

good solid player remember he was here in the PL when no player performed ,

can play a number of positions also

this level a very good player and if ipswich can afford him he must be cheap ,

He should do well down there. What is a thought though is where is the money to come from to pay off what they have borrowed ? The money originates from a US pension fund. They are not a charity and will want the x 'invested' to be returned as x plus, at some point. Unless there is a £20m player sale, most Championship clubs barely make a profit, if that. Clubs making those one-off sales tend not to make it to the PL. And those that do rarely find themselves with money left over to repay loans.  You need to turn a profit for that and a check on PL accounts show that is not a common occurrence, and when it is the club usually has the extra money from European football

The current lack of any interest in their players for any sizeable fees suggest it will not be from player sales any money comes. And their pesspoor academy that could barely produce a couple of players at L1 standard is unlikely to change now they are in the Championship. I think sooner rather than later, the  Arizona Public Safety Personnel Retirement System will be wanting a return on their money, if not getting it back.

Indeed. Maybe the plan is to break more-or-less even in the Championship and then sell for a massive profit if they manage to reach the Premier League?

Don't tell the binners who have convinced themselves they are headed for promotion but just like all recently promoted clubs that have come up from leauge one "survival" is the most key goal they are aiming for

I should imagine that is precisely the plan - particularly if they can stay up a couple of years. the key thing was with their purchase was that they were buying a "distressed asset" from an owner who was desperate to sell, and they got a good price as a consequence.

As long as they are sensible they are likely to get promoted at some stage in the next few years as they will have one of the highest turnovers in the league.

Agree with this entirely - limited player who nobody would be interested in if he hadn't made the occasional appearance for Man Utd.  Gets by on the appearance of passion and as you suggest . massively unbalances teams by playing on the left.

I'd be very underwhelmed if we signed him, wouldn't swap him for either of our first choice full backs and would definitely say he has found his level in a (soon to be) mid-table championship side ...

To what purpose ? They are accruing further debt in the Championship as L1. Which has to be repaid at some point. If PL clubs are not making a profit and for the most are either a 'vanity project' (Brighton) or a 'money laundering vehicle' then it has to be one of those two. Given how the rush to buy previously was marked by a deafening silence, the only other option is the 'dodgy' owner route. Nothing new there.some might think. But certainly not what those down the road are imagining is their future.
