Simply... Contractual agreements with Hummel on how many times each kit will be worn throughout the season.. Two reasons: Firstly, every team is contractually obliged to wear their away/third kit a certain amount of times. The second reason, and probably the one why this was chosen as a game to wear an away kit, is that colour-blind fans (of which there are more than most people think) struggle with the difference between red and green.
