Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 4,614 Posted July 22, 2023 Interesting that he's rooming with Nuñez and they communicate in Spanish. Sara is clearly very comfortable with his English now, but I'm not sure how well Nuñez is getting on with his English, so I'd be sticking him in a room with a chatterbox who only speaks English. Terrible idea. Make him as comfortable as possible and if that menas rooming with Sara and speaking Spanish, fine. Although I would think Sara speaks Portuguese? Nunez will learn English in time. I spent five years living abroad and didn't speak the local language when I arrived, and whilst Duolingo helped with the basics and a bit of grammar in the early stages, putting myself in situations for extended periods of time with people who didn't speak English was definitely the most effective to learn. chicken 3,081 Posted July 23, 2023 Are we really having a conversation based on the idea that Nunez's English is poor without actually knowing that is the case? As others have pointed out, if it was for language alone Sara speaks Portugese as he's Brazilian, Nunez is Chilean so speaks Spanish. Sure they are relative close languages and it's possible both can speak either/or, but what about Hernandez, who can speak Spanish? More to the point though is evidence. Barnes is in what sounds to be a log cabin type thing with Sargent and Rowe. Two midfielders together, possibly with another. Sounds more like they are trying to bunk departments together to grow those off field partnerships so the bring more/better coms and camoraderie in the pitch.
