Norwich City transfer news: Gabriel Forsyth signing confirme

Recommended Posts

Good stuff - though it says they’ve reached terms with us and Leeds, so perhaps not totally guaranteed.  He’s obviously one for the future, but seems a good prospect.

Edit - appears I misread the article, all good if we have got the lad. Let’s hope he breaks through as we hope - we’ve signed quite a few who haven’t, but it’s always going to be the case.

Leeds is for the other lad mentioned in the article

It’s only true if Cambridge confirms it even though it’s on the main page 🤣🤣

Remember this is the same Cambridge who told us all that Nunez had gone to Brighton for 20 mil haha

I don’t believe it until the club report it

Hes 16. Wake me up when we sign someone for the first team.

I assumed we had signed him with a view to playing him in the first team.....

Age should not be a Barrier if good enough ! but likely one for future

i like this type of signing and something as a club we should do more of like the past Aarons /lewis /Godfrey even Maddison ,

We should buy as many as these up and coming players from lesser teams as possible ,

this will be where the bigger profits might come from also we might find a good couple of players for first team in a few years ,

This is exactly what the larger clubs do and some of the methods are seen as contraversial.

i think they will get more of a chance here though than at a bigger club

so yes we will be Hoarding the best talent we can find but also we will be giving a chance to them where at a big club it is unlikely

Nothing wrong with this and clearly Kellen Fisher's signing is in the same boat. If he falls short, we haven't lost very much. If he comes out big, we get a nice fee, some great performances, hopefully improved cachet and further underline our reputation as an excellent place for promising talent to come and develop.

The doors will give a little twirl after a goal.

I imagine the dead ball coach will be shouting “higher , higher” when they are working on headers.

Great fan attitude here. ‘If it’s not immediate and covered in fairy lights I’m bored’.

Some of us on here like to see the club proactively looking to the future. Maybe have a bit more long term mentality.

Welcome to the club that lad.

To those you can add Liam Gibbs. There have been other promising youngsters signed by City, but have then fallen by the wayside.

It is not by chance, as it is clear we are putting a fair bit of work into this.  And I would suggest Gibbs looks a better prospect than ever did Godfrey or Lewis when the broke through into the first team. Of course, there are some on here who disagree with that policy and claim that we should do everything to block player's further progress. By doing everything to stop any sale to a PL club.

Yep, that would play wonderfully well to any youngster considering joining us.,
