cambridgeshire canary 7,798 Posted June 1, 2023 He's earning 70 to 80 thousand a week at Forest.

Dr Greenthumb 793 Posted June 1, 2023 He just looked like he was going to get booked when ever I’ve seen him play for forest this season and I’m pretty sure a bad error led to a goal against Newcastle. Think this one is past his best. Saying that, we are a league below and that could make a difference
Newtopia 573 Posted June 1, 2023 How does a slow play maker fit into a Wagner side? Massive no for me.

skittles 14 Posted June 1, 2023 I would have him here and him looking like one of the friendly aliens from Farscape is a plus point.
BroadstairsR 2,273 Posted June 1, 2023 (edited) Always been a dominant midfielder. You couldn't miss him. Baldy blinder ... Shelvey/Selby. Perhaps a bad fit at Forest or age told at PL level. Would luv him kicking a-rses all over the Carrow Road turf. Just what we need. 250 games in the Premier League an all. Coneys Knee 1,050 Posted June 1, 2023 I’ve always rated Shelvey. One of those players that looks like he has so much much time on the ball. We could only dream of getting him im afraid.

Yobocop 1,444 Posted June 1, 2023 If we get him on a loan deal it could be a master stroke at this level

Mooy worked incredibly hard, I have never seen Shelvey put in the same effort.
Christoph Stiepermann 1,261 Posted June 1, 2023 (edited) My friend who supports Forest said he's had a big time attitude ever since he turned up there and hasn't done anything on the pitch to justify his attitude. i have no idea what he means by that to be honest or why he's perceived as being a bit of a big time charlie who thought he was too good for that club but apparently it's a popular opinion amoungst other Forest fans. He's probably like their Naismith where everyone on the outside and the player himself thinks he's too big for the club but has done sod all on the pitch to justify his wages or reputation. On his day he's a cut above anyone in our team, but i suspect he went to Forest for the money and is on the slide as a player. he's one of those who you'd think if you could get him on sensible wages he'd be decent but I don't think he'd accept sensible wages and probably doesn't have that hunger anymore. you don't put out stories to the media about how you're 'open to selling a player' as a club unless you're desperate to get rid. Badger 2,745 Posted June 2, 2023 I think that he would be a terrible signing, totally at odds with the dynamic and pressing style we are told that Wagner wants to implement. I'd be surprised if we went anywhere near him.
Capt. Pants 5,009 Posted June 2, 2023 We can't have everyone pressing all the time, someone's got to get their head up and pass the ball. I doubt he's on our radar but would like him in our squad. Imagine him and Barnes in the same team winding up the opposition. I'd love it.
NWC 315 Posted June 2, 2023 Or to give him his correct title, “The Racist Jonjo Shelvey” 🤔
Indy 3,471 Posted June 2, 2023 Shelvey of five years ago, but not the current over paid journeyman now! But we do need a good CDM soon!

Mr Apples 1,407 Posted June 3, 2023 Would rather have a set of shelves from IKEA, even though they may be equally difficult to accommodate and fall down at a similar frequency. 😁 Apples
