Season ticket sales - sell out

Recommended Posts

Where’s the thread? This is a major achievement by the fans . It seems to have slipped past unnoticed. The Binners sell a few tickets once in a blue moon and award themselves another star.

Brilliant news.

You’re not wrong.  It appears there’s a level of expectation in our supporter ranks that isn’t necessarily present on these boards - but I’m sure a fair few have renewed partly out of habit/hope as much as expectation!

Good. You’ll have more time to ruin women who are completely beyond your capability of reaching. (Winky face)

Just out of interest, what if Webber got us to the champions league 😂

What about those who are still on the bandwagon as their realistic with their expectations but another poor season and would join people off it?

I mean, season ticket holders are supporting Norwich City not Stuart Webber FC

Exactly.

Whether I buy a season ticket isn't reliant on who the manager is, who the Sporting Director is and who the owners are.

They'll probably all change next season anyway 🤪

So to breakdown into percentages regarding the season 23/24 ST renewals, they are as follows....allegedly....

* 20% are long term Divorcees....

* 8% are 40 to 60 year old plus Drunkards and some are also divorced (male)....and have an intense dislike of mountaineers....

* 10% are true Virgins (under the age of consent or saving themselves for the right person)....aw so sweet....

* 5% say they aren't Virgins (but oh yes they really are)....like Jay (Inbetweeners) they talk a really good sèx life....

* 16% are in stable relationships, are strictly tee total & who also absolutely fawn over the NCFC Board and love Stu our DoF to bits....

* 5% love Delia like she's their Mum and who unfortunately may also suffer from the Oedipus complex....

* 35% are just normal football supporters who follow their club through thick and thin....

* 1% are sad sacks on here who haven't got a life and are akin to a wheelbarrow full of peas, carrots, cabbages and sugar beet....But I do applaud some with their uncanny ability to type whilst their heads are wedged firmly up their acne addled posteriors....

I'm a ickle bit of everything of the above, apart from the Virgin and Oedipus Complex stuff....and no bleedin' way am I a 'one percent-er!'...

Now....What was this thread about again?....

Really good to see and if all those who shout online about how they haven't renewed are telling the truth, then fantastic to see a good percentage of new season ticket holders who'll hopefully give it more than 10 minutes before booing the team for passing backwards.

On a personal note its the first time my younger brother has been able to get a season ticket with us so I'm chuffed for him (well, subject to match performance)

The fanbase deserves better than the dross the club has served up for the past 2 years, that's for damn sure.

It’s important to recognise the distinction between renewing because you’re a fan of the club and renewing because you are a fan of what you saw last year.

The more the board take for granted the amount of tickets we sell the quicker it will be back down to the level in the late 90’s when you couldn’t give a ticket away.

Never understood why people boo for ball retention it’s good game management.

You're quite right but you're wasting your time I'm afraid. Try telling people that we lose possession every time we hit the ball long and you'll be shouted at for talking rubbish. Which statistics clearly show you're not.

It's not just about ball retention is it though? What we all want to see is possession with purpose. Without a creative midfield and with a powderpuff  attack, much of our possession, in recent times, have been achieved by passing around at the back. Followed by a big punt up front by Gunn, at which point we lose possession.

Ball retention is the most important under appreciated aspect of the modern game. The more you have the ball the more your opponent has to run to chase the ball tiring them out creating more opportunities later in the game against tired opponents. Not only that it’s very hard for teams to score when they don’t have the ball so the more you keep the ball the less chance they have of scoring. I know everyone wants to see free flowing attacking passing football but it’s impossible to do that for 90 mins in the modern game it needs to be possession with flows of attack.

Sounds good on paper but NCFC are in the entertainment industry. With our current mostly ho-hum players it’s boring as ****.
