Yes. He wouldn't have won L1 player of the year.

Bring him home Webber. Do one good thing before you leave

What are you on about? He’ll be here next year.

We need him now 🤣

Why as he is better off staying where he is helping to prevent the Scum winning the league ?

They were doing a good job of that of there own accord up until recently; Wednesday could still leapfrog them though.

We needed him last season. Imagine if we'd stuck him on the left of midfield and never signed Rashica...

Good on the lad, looking forward to seeing a bit of drive in the team next season. Looked good each time I saw him for Plymouth. Loses the ball occasionally taking risks, but we usually just do that passing, so I will forgive him

It's easy to underestimate what an achievement this is. Not many loans out to L1 or L2 are particularly successful - look at Ramsey's at Cheltenham, even though he is a decent footballer. Congratulations, Bali!

Really encouraging signs. Just need to get a handle on his actual best position as it seems like it isn't right back? Who scored largely has him playing as a left wing back and Plymouth usually play a back 3. So I guess the question is do we think he can play fullback in a standard back 4 or would be need to pushed further forward?

Well done Bali and well done Plymouth for developing him so well. I wish we could be that successful with our loans.

Hopefully pre-season he can convince Wagner he's worthy of a place in our squad.

I think if Plynouth go up they'll make us an offer for him and we'll likely accept. He may even prefer that option. He's done very well there, settled, playing well, in a system that suits his game. And with a club that has some momentum and none of the internal turmoil we're currently experiencing.

What if Plymouth offered £2 to £3 million.? Would we take it? I think we would.

Why would we?

Our whole model is based around developing young players, why would we sell one on the back of a great season for £3m?

I totally agree; Bali is exactly the kind of player we should be developing.

Having said that, with Webber in charge of player sales and recruitment, I won't relax until he's officially in our squad next season.

I think he's doing a largely crappy job but I can't think of a single example where he's sold a young player too early for under market value.

I really hope not. We need young new players who are exciting, so keeping Bali, and getting Rowe upto speed could really benefit us. We are about to lose the Academy lad to Chelsea, we need to keep Bali and play him where he is most affective

I agree. But I've just read M8chael Bailey's piece ih The Athletic about how Omobamidele is a likely candidate to be amongst those sold, if that is true then nothing, including selling Mumba as well, would surprise me. Maybe I pitched the fee for him a bit low but Webber isn't in any position to play hardball like he could with Ben Godfrey, for example.

Yes that's too low

I cant see us selling him anyways. One of the younger prospects who is capable at playing at a better level next year.

Unless we change our system we will not have the same player Plymouth have.

How well he can adapt to a new position will be the key. I fear we will have some supporters who will expect far too much from a good young player who will be on a learning curve again if he stays with us.

He's about 5ft 6 so he'd be a liability at full back. Good player as a wing back though
