Remember it is not over, until the fat lady sings . There is still hope.

The fat lady has sung , taken her encore. Been presented with a glorious array of flowers , dabbing a moist eye.

Said lady has showered , changed and having had a light supper in a quiet restaurant she is now sleeping peacefully in her sumptuous bed.

Mate, she's sung, done an encore - grabbed a stage hand and molested him in the changing room, cleared the equipment away and driven home.

Even if it's not over what would be the point?

If we got to the play-offs we would only embarrass ourselves more than we already have the last 2 seasons.

Whatever happens, it really is time to realise that for this season at least, there is absolutely no hope.

From top to bottom, we are a rabble.

It would, after the extreme pant-wetting on here (myself very much included), be spectacularly amusing if we somehow scrape into the playoffs and then win them. Unfortunately there's about as much chance as, say, dropping a ball bearing out of a jumbo jet at 30,000ft and it landing on an egg sandwich; about a whelk's chance in a supernova.

It is still not a certainty we will not go up, a slim chance I admit, but the chance is still there for the taking if the teams above us flop.

WBA 0-1 NCFC

NCFC 2-0 Blackpool

NCFC 1-0 Luton

Luton 1-1 NCFC

And we could be in the playoff final.   ...Now where's my wine gone?!?

Never say die, don't care about the odds, and would expect the players to still go for it.

You missed all the other results required for us to scrape 6th place.

Why?  Up until the QPR match we still had a chance and they failed.  Today was just the last chance of the last chance and they muffed it.

You berate people for not believing,

But you've now decided it's ok not to believe.

Missed the point by a million miles,

Now you've decided we don't have a chance, it's ok to think like that, previously you'd be berating people for not believing

From a footballing perspective, absolutely not. From a purely mathematical perspective yes. From a mathematical and probability perspective, absolutely not. From a footballing perspective our chances disappeared weeks ago but you still lectured us, I can't and don't believe you really thought we had a chance when you lectured us, unless you have not been watching us play and/or you know four fifths of sod all about football. Your lectures could only really have been based on the maths so from a purely mathematical perspective you are a big fat hypocrite. I actually think you are just a troll.....................

F*ck me Lakey. I never thought I’d see the day when you threw in the towel when technically we STILL can do it.

Best course of action must be summon the vet and have us humanely put down tomorrow in case we’re still in with a shout at West Brom

Good grief, what is the matter with you. Up to the QPR game we had a reasonable chance of getting into the top six if we could put together a run of performances in the last four games.  That result and today's has kyboshed that.  And don't tell me that it was never on because of the way we've been playing all season because football doesn't always work like that.

If Lakey says it’s over it must be!

I’ve been a fierce critic of old Lakey but finally he seems to have landed on Planeg Earth and seen the light!

Lol de lol.  If I were a troll, I must be a very sad one for sticking with this forum for so long.

Some people think they understand football, but fail to understand football and that just because you're on a bad run, or struggling, it doesn't mean you can't turn it round. The last few games have shown that a turn round was unlikely, but it was never set in stone.  Failing to win against Rotherham was the key result imo and just left too much to do, but it's fine margins, win that game and the team would have had a better chance in the last few matches.

OK I will bite, as YOU say "football is not like that", as YOU say "just because we are on a bad run it does not mean we cannot turn it around", as YOU say "IF {Insert event here] happens" etc, etc........We could still win our last two games, other results go our way and we end up in the top 6 at the end of the season. I personally do not think it will happen and I am one of those who came to the conclusion some time ago that we would not make it into the top 6, based on many years experience of playing football, watching football, nay living and breathing football. You appear to think that your knowledge of football is greater than mine, and many others that post on here, that may be the case, but that all said you are still a big fat hypocrite by writing us off now when there is still a mathematical chance of us getting into the play off spots IF (one of your favourite words and the basis of your lectures on the subject) we win our last two games................
