Macauley Langstaff

Devils advocate here but we will possibly be left with only Idah in the Summer; as I expect Sargent to go (perhaps others do not); but I do. So we may need a new Striker. what do People think of Langstaff. He's currently sitting on 41 League goals; Devils advocate here but Vardy scored 30 or so at his time at Fleetwood; so does he have the potential or even half of it; and would it be worth it should the need arise for a new Striker.

Must be worth scouting. The step between non league and Championship, can be smaller than Championship to Prem. Plus the disire for a lower league player within the English pyramid system, may bring added development.

Could be the new Cody McDonald

Hardly the same 14 goals in half a season though impressive is a lot less than 41 in a full season; and it was two divisions lower; 7th tier compared to the 5th and a non Professional League ; which to all intense and purposes the National League now is bar 3 clubs (Maidenhead, Dorking and Wealdstone) Langstaff has broken the National League record for goals and Mullin who scored 31 goals at Cambridge in League Two is on 36 ad he's two years older; stats are just stats but I doubt he's a Cody McDonald. And if stats are true he's at least on par with where Mullin was two Years ago.

Surely even this club isn't daft enough to let Sargent go and leave us with zero recognised strikers.

Are they? 😬

Does he want to stay; I suspect he does; hence the devils advocate part. Blackburn have kept Ben Brereton Diaz for as long as they have so we should be able to keep Sargent. But do Sargent and Idah want to compete with each other and how long would Sargent want to stay until a bigger club comes in for him?

In all honesty who is going to come in for him?

Werder must have pissed themselves laughing at the cash we parted with for Sarge and Rash

Langstaff is 26 and has been around the lower leagues for 8 years I would working out who is supplying the goals for him.

Must confess I've never heard of him. It's probably more relevant what type of system he's used to playing in and if he's a fox in the box, a Pukki, or a Grant Holt. If he ticks all the boxes then in this post Brexit era he'll be well sought after.

I don't see any expeonsive flops in a Luton squad that has made the playoffs two seasons running.

I think its time we should accept that foreign doesn't always mean better or better value for money.

Hard to tell on here what is and isn't a joke; and the last time I heard the reference being made it wasn't a joke.
