Capt. Pants 3,516 Posted September 12 It was the Norwich City Gilmour we saw tonight, an absolutely nothing performance.

I wouldn't blame Gunn for any of the three goals. 2nd goal Robertson practically gifted the goal. Gunn has been a great addition to the Scotland squad.

Seriously, though, you could list the abysmal performances. Against Norway and especially Spain it was night and day. Tonight was awful. In fairness, 1 bad performances in 12 is a good ratio. I'm just happy that 1 came in a friendly.

Be honest, had it been 3-1 to Scotland and Gilmour had run the show would the mention of "friendly" appeared in your subsequent post(s)?.................. Probably not. I didn't mean it to disparate England or the match or to take any criticism away from Scotland or Gilmour. We were garbage. I meant that it wasn't a European Championship qualifier. I much rather the crappy performance happened tonight as opposed to Spain, Georgia or Norway In the upcoming qualifiers. hogesar 8,550 Posted September 12 After 60 minutes Scotland looked vaguely better, I think once a lightweight Gilmour left the pitch. He was schooled by Bellingham. Beaten again and again and caught out of possession

Straws , Clutching, much ? Scotland are better than Ireland and got a decent draw and a home win v Spain. That might be as far as it goes for ye.

With kids like Doak, etc, on the horizon. Things are only going to improve. Tonight was a blip. But that's all it is. There's no doubt that we're improving. Tonight was probably a good thing. You learn more about players after a defeat than you do a win. We'll see how we respond next month against Spain in Spain. canarydan23 3,759 Posted September 16 Back to his usual seat on the bench again. How surprising.
TheDarkKnight 503 Posted September 16 So, Billy Gilmour is he who must not be named when he's being praised but it's fair game to criticise him? How hypocritical. Thanks for the bump, mate. I'll be back on Thursday when he starts in Europe.

Thanks for the bump, mate. I'll be back on Thursday when he starts in Europe. Please don't. We've only just stopped laughing from your claims Gilmour would "run rings around the England midfield" and that he'd "walk into England's midfield" I'm not sure we can take anymore
TheDarkKnight 503 Posted September 16 (edited) A XI which cost £28m beating one that cost £325m Not only beating them, but running rings around them. It could've easily have been 1-5. Dare I say, it's Football 1 - 0 Money. Money. Money. Erik ten Hag is on very shaky ground. The only reason United finished as high as they did last season was because of Casemiro. This season he looks overweight. Immobile and his passing is shocking. No complaints about the result. United were a shambles. He was probably rested for the second half v England to keep him fresh for the Euros Semi final when the footy is of such a standard that it is worthy of Billly lacing up his boots and showing us tbat Darko was right after all. Did your Granny never tell you that if you ask a silly question you'll get a silly answer? The same goes for silly statements on public forums geez, but we won't need to take the pi55 cos you're giving it away.
