It's amazing how bad it got under Smith that people quickly believed Wagner would be the solution. A manager who has been sacked from his past 2 jobs, his pressing game was good enough 5 years ago but football has moved on since then.

We don't play his pressing game though and it's still a very good way to play in modern football. It's slow possession football that's become outdated in the last few years and that's what we insist on playing regardless of who we have as manager.

Roll on the Summer, this season hasn’t been great but it could be a godsend in the end. Staying in this league may be a blessing in disguise, too much baggage in the squad, need a reset, need fresh hungry players. All our Premiership hangover players need to ply their trade elsewhere, total reset with youth and DWs choices.

I said this at the start of the season quite rigorously with justification….and many times since.   No one agreed but we’ve just wasted a season when we should have reset in August!   There’s plenty coming around now!

Was it you who suggested that Wagner has discovered that we're just not fit enough to play his way?

Pressing is still good but it can't be the only component to your play. You need a clear idea in possession too which Wagner is clearly trying to coach hence we see Kenny dropping between the CB's and what not but it's clear he isn't very good at it. Our build up is clumsy and often ineffective.

Marquinhos, Red.

That might be a blessing in disguise, he's been dreadful.

Step forward Johnathan Rowe!

Really? He was our best player in the first half and no worse than the rest in the second.

Hes literally given the ball away everytime he's had the ball tonight.

He's been one of the improved players under Wagner, but absolutely appalling tonight

Surely that will get rescinded on appeal!? OK, he caught him and the Huddersfield player has a bloody mouth, but there was no intent whatsoever.

I sort of hope it isn't he's useless.

First half he was the best player on the pitch and ran the show?

For some reason we swapped him and Sorensen second half.

That was never a red card.

Barely a yellow.

It was neither - he reffed it on the injury, utterly dreadful decision.

There has been one constant in the consistent failings of Norwich City ; it wasn’t Farke, it wasn’t Dean Smith , it isn’t Wagner ……

 Grant Hanley!
