Christoph Stiepermann 1,135 Posted March 12, 2023 I hate this attitude that we still seem to have in certain games where we expect going into it that we can just turn up, play football at our own leisurely pace and that it'll be enough to win and that the opposition won't try to stop us. If you're going to play every pass short and on the deck it has to be quick and with varying tempo. It's so easy for opposition to stop us if every pass is 5 yards sideways or backwards and not hit with much conviction and players aren't moving into spaces to open the opposition up. It's how you play when you're 2-0 up towards the end of the game when your opponents are tired and you're not actively committing to score a goal. When we do play it forward quickly it's always hurried, our attackers don't react or provide enough support to the main who has the ball and it always breaks down. The only joy we're having is when Onel is running with the ball. too many players are still asleep, so is the crowd and Sunderland look for more up for this than we are. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
