13 Points clear of 2nd. Fair to say the title race this season is over?

Yeah I think so. Sheff Utd will probably limp over the line with one of the lowest ever 2nd place points haul.

Got to be a fair shout for 100 points. 2 per game from here gets them there. Though, as we proved in 20-21, it's hard to keep motivated when promotion/the title is done and dusted.

Didn't you say this about Brentford last time we were in this division? 😀

Burnley seem a different kettle of fish though.

Strange . A few in the know posters suggested they were a basket case.

Funny Old Game.

They should have been. They went down with a whole host of debt but somehow it hasn’t made a difference. I posted a thread a few months ago about why they’ve relented. Seems Kompany and a team full of youth and loans has worked for them.

I would say however that Kompany will jump ship when a bigger club comes in for his services. He definitely doesn’t view Burnley as a long term project.

That for me is key, Wagner isn’t a coach that’ll just fk off when someone else comes calling, he likes to build and maintain something. Norwich is that club he can do that with, especially if the Americans back him. We’ve had Wagner for less than 6 months and the signs all point to positive, with time and backing who knows what he could do. For the first time in a long time I’m excited for what lies ahead for Nodge.

Fear of Craig Bellamy getting his golf clubs out might keep them on their toes.

Ok let's take the other side...

If we had fired Smith when mathematically down, where would we currently be sat?

2nd - had we appointed Wagner or similar.
