dylanisabaddog 6,147 Posted February 22, 2023 Some really strange decisions last night. Most peculiar was for a corner kick at the end of the first half. Ruddy had pushed an Idah attempt past his right hand post and the players got ready for a corner from that side. The ref instead insisted that the corner be taken from the City Stand side of the pitch. It probably didn't make any difference but all the players and everyone in the River End were completely bewildered. More worrying was a foul near the halfway line that nearly led to a Birmingham equaliser. It seems to be getting worse this season with persistent strange decisions for and against us. Thirsty Lizard 3,215 Posted February 22, 2023 Overall I thought he was actually pretty good, but it did look like a foul on Nunez near the half way line that led to that Birmingham break.
Ken Hairy 4,272 Posted February 22, 2023 I thought he was frustrating as hell, not because he made an major errors but more he was just so whistle happy, especially in the 2nd half. He ruined the flow of the game at times by being too fussy
SwearyCanary 1,340 Posted February 22, 2023 He wasn’t the worst I’ve seen this year but he was definitely inconsistent. Let a lot of stuff go that could’ve been fouls until the second half when we pressed and then seemingly penalised them. Made a terrible decision re Nunez and I watched him really consider it before he decided to play on. I think after that he gave us more for perhaps lesser things because I feel he knew he’d messed up and probably would’ve shat his pants if they’d equalised (or doubled down doing a ‘Stroud’). I’d give him 5/
