Anyone fancy us against West Ham next season?

Recommended Posts

Much as the idea of Everton being relegated is pretty funny does seem like with the new manager they might be able to keep their heads above the water meanwhile however the hammers do seem to be sinking.

Given that our history against West Ham is recent years has been pretty shocking (They have scored 10 goals against us in the last three matches we have played against them and the last time we beat them was a decade ago..) anyone else thinking that if they do go down it would be pretty amusing? And hey, if Millwall don't go up this season fair to say if West ham do go down there's a spicy match to keep an eye on 😉

If any of the relegation threatened sides this year go down and keep most of their players they would absolutely murder this league with a half decent manager. The PL is on a different planet to the Championship. With the benefit of hindsight it's a miracle that we somehow even got over 20 points in our last two seasons with the squads we had. Plus no I wouldn't fancy us against West Ham, it's always men vs boys when we play them, we always struggle against powerful sides who stop us playing and hit us on the counter and they'd be able to buy their way out of the league with the money they'd get from selling Declan Rice.

Yep. Their stadium is easy to get to and there's a Lego shop 10 minutes walk away. So a great away day. Except for the actual football part!

Financially and player wise they're so far ahead of championship clubs they'd probably walk the league.

No way will NCFC be playing West Ham

Closest our crowd will get is taking the WAG’s to Westfield

West Ham have been very ordinary (PL wise) for several seasons now - really rather dull and last season I saw them 3-4 times, all in wins they barely deserved.  Of course they’d still probably hammer us and walk this league.

West Ham are the only side in the bottom six not to have sacked their manager.

So what happens next. Do they join that club or look above them to those who have been bottom six and stuck with their manager?

WHU are massively underperforming. I cannot believe Moyes is still there.

I'd love to see West Ham, Everton and Leeds relegated. Would make for a tasty Championship.

If they don't beat Forest at home next weekend, I can't see Moyes surviving.

Given their squad, they should stay up if they get his replacement right.

Really. They finished 7th last season and did well in Europe. They finished 6th the season before. Interesting definition of ‘ordinary’

This year the premiership is really strong.  In a way teams whobthink they are too big might be the best options as they will lose loads of players and rely on someone coming in cold and rebuilding striaght away.

Yes. Really. They have been dull as dishwater for several seasons, that’s what I meant by ordinary…but as I said I saw them live - ie there - several times, all wins they barely deserved after being outplayed.  That they finished as high as they did was mostly due to that. As I also said, they’d still hammer us.

I'd love to see that if we got promoted, but it'd pretty much ruin any chances of us going up next season. Assuming we don't go up, I want the weakest teams on paper to be relegated... for me that'd be Southampton, Bournemouth and Forest.

Tbh I don’t care who comes down - a great deal of it is down to us and whether we can ‘find’ ourselves; anything remotely like this season and we’d have zero chance whoever it is.  The thing about relegation from PL is it’s nigh on impossible to tell who will do well and who will stutter.

i do not fancy us against most of the championship let alone west ham or any team that comes down

the game at wigan with the team that was left on the pitch at the end just goes to show what a waste the PL and Emi money has been

Even though they actually qualified for the Europa League and reached the semi finals? If you think that’s ordinary I’m amazed as there’s far worse EPL teams than West Ham!

Dull and extremely boring, if you don’t like the word ordinary.  As I’ve already said they won several of games I saw where they deserved nothing; imo it is when the luck turns that is when it gets much harder.

A bit like the current Norwich side then, and that’s in a lesser league 🤣🤣🤣

Amazing you moaned about West Ham being like that even though they have a second consecutive season in European competition ongoing.

Maybe you ought to take up watching something different like watching paint dry as you obviously don’t know dull and boring!

I’d rather be in West Ham’s position than ours that’s for sure

I didn’t moan about anything. I couldn’t care two hoots about West Ham, but have seen them a few of times and they are very dull. It‘s a totally fair opinion based on my own knowledge and experience.

You can toddle off and support whoever you want, I’ll happily still go and support/watch my team.

Always makes me laugh when people come out with statements like you can support who you want, as it shows they are out of meaningful responses, and I will always support NCFC, bit difficult to watch from across the world though.

No, it’s just they are bored that they don’t seem to be entitled to their perfectly valid opinion.  You don’t need to reply.

I'd include Leeds in that too, they have been shocking this season and all 4 of those should be beatable.

I think Forest are probably doing enough to beat the drop at the moment unfortunately.

London Stadium? No thanks - a $**thole to get to and miles away from the pitch once you get in. Should have learnt from the Withdean experiment.

Withdean was fine as a stopgap - and it saved Brighton fans traipsing all the way to Gillingham for their home games.

So I have to accept your so called perfectly valid opinion but you won’t do the same and accept mine?

My opinion is just as valid as yours but you tell me I don’t have to reply!
