Satriales 638 Posted February 4, 2023 Thought Wagner might have started McCallum over Dimi. Strong bench!
The Bristol Nest 513 Posted February 4, 2023 The bench looks fun.
GodlyOtsemobor 2,306 Posted February 4, 2023 Tzolis straight onto the bench! Quite excited to see what he does if he gets on.

Ken Hairy 3,772 Posted February 4, 2023 No surprise to see an unchanged line up, but all of a sudden the bench looks very interesting
Ken Hairy 3,772 Posted February 4, 2023 Also, have I missed something about Gibbs being injured? Or is Wagner not fancying him?

TheGunnShow 5,940 Posted February 4, 2023 Surprised Gibbs isn't on the bench. Lungi's clearly being kept there as a back-up centre-half.
Satriales 638 Posted February 4, 2023 I don't know much at all about the Burnley squad, but a quick look on their forum suggests they are happier than expected with todays team, based on the rumours during the week of illness and injuries. Will be a tough game.
chicken 2,624 Posted February 4, 2023 You want your bench to give you the best possible cover. McCallum and Sorensen provide back up for the back four and DM - so makes sense. Idah is the striking back up with Marquinhos and Tzolis providing the wider options. Nunez giving the more CM cover. Gibbs would be a good CM/DM cover - I'm thinking McLean. Possible that Wagner is giving him more time to get to grips with how he wants him to play.

BroadstairsR 2,164 Posted February 4, 2023 Nice to see Tzolis back in contention along with a lot of attack-minded players on the bench.. Lungi also covers a lot of the defensive roles esp, centre back. Only two outfield defenders on the bench. 4-2 when it's usually evenly split. I should imagine Gibbs has a knock.
