PockthorpePete 331 Posted January 15, 2023 Looks like we are after this wizard of oz - Norwich City are tracking Australian midfielder Keanu Baccus ahead of a potential January move https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/23252154.norwich-city-canaries-linked-st-mirrens-keanu-baccus/

PockthorpePete 331 Posted January 15, 2023 The sum talked of is what we paid for Bali Mumba. I think we do better at that level as our transfer policy does seem to be 'penny wise, pound foolish'
Herman 9,714 Posted January 15, 2023 I liked the look of fellow Aussie, Harry Souttar. No nonsense CB.

Keyneton Canary 9 Posted January 16, 2023 He made the Aussie World Cup squad, and appeared at the World Cup. Sub 3 times and started in our narrow loss to the eventual Champions.
dylanisabaddog 4,868 Posted January 16, 2023 Seems extraordinary that someone who played in the world cup is available for £350k

PurpleCanary 5,554 Posted January 16, 2023 I see we are being linked with Konrad de la Fuente. I really hope this comes to fruition. No idea whether he is any good as a player but he has a great name, and our squad is lacking as far as that crucial element goes. Even our Brazilian has a dull name, for heaven's sake.

WD40 720 Posted January 16, 2023 Watched a lot of Australia at World Cup and - although they are generally up against it most games they play - I thought Baccus stood out as being one their worst midfielders by a stretch. He had little composure on the ball and often made the wrong the decision. Now he might have had energy in the pressing but his ability with the ball was lacking.
