Who are they alienating?  I don’t need to be fed boring bits of information all the time - though  it would be good to know how Josh is.  I’m sure we will find out soon enough

Oh, come on. There's everything you need to know on club's official website.

There's a hard hitting article about the recent Christmas Food and Wine Workshop at Carrow Road.

Then there's an unmissable piece about the club's range of men's leisurewear.

Who needs independent journalism with quality like that?

And they're trying to flog Burns Night haggis tickets at £80 a squirt.

Or a Sarge USA T-shirt.

It's like the Tampa trip, Sarge's injury, Rowe's injury never happened.

But there is nothing to stop Archant running coverage on these issues;  have Archant asked about Rowe? have Archant asked about any of the senior players that were not seen in Tampa? (I count four); have Archant run a story on the U18 player who required an ambulance on Saturday? did any of Archant's three NCFC specialists attend the (three) U18 matches that have taken place since mid-Nov?

If you listen to the weekly Pink Un podcasts, they have mentioned their frequent attempts to get in contact with the club to gain information at various times. Only to get rebuffed.

They actually sound a bit bored of having to continually address this issue, and I don't blame them.

They make it clear they are limited to the general press conferences and media briefings that all media are allowed to attend.

Also, it's Newsquest now, not Archant.

So, humour me (as I do not pay for ECN's content).

Did they cover the U18s match on Nov 19th at Colney? (or say they were denied access?)

Did they cover the U18s match on Nov 26th at Colney? (or say they were denied access?)

Did they cover the U18s match at Spurs on Nov 29th? (or say they were denied access?)

Did they cover the U18s match at Fulham on Dec 3rd? (or say they were denied access?)

If they were not banned from attending U18s matches then why would they not take the oppottrunity to give their readers content that might be of interest?

are the players back home ? Yes.

how bad is Sarge’s injury ? There will be an injury update at the press conference on Friday.

where’s Webber ? Who cares ? You're correct, before he told us that he had a project that he was doing in his own time no-one cared where he was. Months would pass by and we wouldn't hear anything, just like now.

Having to report every day has always lead to the local press filing copy for the sake of it, just like now.

Only £80? What a bargain. Count me in for a couple of tickets.

Perhaps one could say the same about you, too.

The point here is that there’s two sides to things and far too many are only seeing one of them. I can see both - the club has a point if it requested media not to report something yet, why would it bend over backwards to keep feeding it snippets?  For the media’s part, the club ought to realise it is its job to find stuff and report it…but for journos to whinge that they aren’t being spoon fed their copy is a bit feeble.

Both types are…we have it every now and then; it’s a bit of a ‘Tommy tourist’ thing to do in Scotland and you do get the odd look until they realise you actually like it!

Let's face it, especially in recent times ala Newsquest takeover, the coverage has never really been that great outside of the actual matches themselves. It's one of the reasons I cannot bring myself to pay a subscription compared to something like The Athletic. Nothing these guys put together is anywhere near the quality that MB continually produces.

I like haggis especially with neeps an' tatties.....all washed down with a few pints of 70 or 80 shilling....

Haggis suppers and black puddin' suppers are better than any kebab after a skinful, they're so scrummy....

Deep fried Jock pies are wholesome and the liquid lard dribbles down yer chin....

I did draw the line at deep fried mars bars....but stovies is grand when the nights are cold....although I did tend to f@rt like a barsted the following day.....and my stools were like oak logs that could lift me off the loo seat like I was being raised akin to sitting in a barber's chair....

Anyway we digress....Is there actually a news blackout?....

What's there to say, really? Injury reports at this point aren't really meaningful; the only injury report of importance is the one the day before the match, and it makes sense to keep Swansea guessing as to whether Sargeant will be available to us.

As to how the training went, what can anyone say? We'll see for ourselves how productive it was (or not) at Swansea.

This isn't missing the point, it's raising a different point, which is a lack of events regarding the first team squad creates an opportunity to look at what's going on up the pipeline regarding developing players, which I'd definitely find interesting.

I note Webber has only just started his climb. Not consistent with him only being away during the World Cup break is it

I'd quite like the company formerly known as Archant to concentrate on fixing their f*cking forum before trying to rim Stuart Webber into forgiveness.

It really is! I’d say the poster is beating the club with a stick, but it seems to be a twig in this case

Great idea. Let’s send Swansea information on the potential fitness of one of our key players to help them plan for Saturday. Perhaps you would like us to record the training session so the opposition are pre informed of tactics.
