Really comfortable performance by England.

Just imagine how much better we'd look if Billy Gilmour walked into our midfield.

Perfect International performance. Always funny reading this match thread towards the end to see a huge endless list of awful takes 😅

Wales comfortably the worst team in this world cup. Appalling.

They didn't have a good starting eleven and no depth in their squad.

Jordan Henderson 10x the midfielder of Gilmour.

Plenty will be saying that about Senegal as well when we beat them.

Yep, about as close as you'll get at international level.

Kept patient against a team sticking 11 behind the ball.

Kept the ball well, dictated the tempo of the game

Didn't concede a single clear chance.

Scored 3 good goals.

Kept a clean sheet.

Rested a lot of players and gave minutes to fringe players. Still dominated.

I am looking forward to that. They aren't a bad side.

Happened last tournament too.

Win the group- 'didn't have to beat any that good.'

Beat Germany- 'Well they aren't as good as previous German teams'

Etc etc

135 minutes of utter crap followed by a very good second half performance. Anything close to the 135 minutes of turgid crap against Senegal will see us leaving the tournament. Your takes have been consistently wrong in regards to Smith and our performances this season. There appears to be a trend here…

Without meaning to reignite this forums favourite debated, I'd be interested to see the XG stats from tonight. Felt like we could have scored 4 or 5 quite easily, Wales never looked like getting anything.

Comfortable win for England who did what was expected against a Wales side that didn't have the depth to compete properly. Senegal will be a stiffer test than any of the group opposition (but should still be eminently beatable as they are without their chief attacking threat) if the England side is as good as many say.

Third goal was definitely a goalie error. First goal wasn't exactly in the corner, but Ward bought the bait, took two steps right, and the ball went left.

I can't disagree with your points but not convinced with the opposition. Perfect might be beating France and deserving it.

You've been pretty much consistently wrong with every take you've ever dared comment on this forum so probably not the best person to start shouting now 😅

Also the game was 90 minutes. The 135 minutes you ran on about are completely irrelevant.

All last 16 teams will be full of confidence and good.
Southgates record in major tournament finals played 16, won 10 drawn 4 lost 2.

2nd half was exactly how this group of players should be playing. Good stuff and onto Sunday. Glad Mane isn't playing.

Last minute penalty shout for Iran turned down! Heck, wonder what would have happened if that had been given and scored? A new "Soccer War" like Honduras and El Salvador? 😄
