Great world cup so far. So many upsets!

Best since 1970 so far although 1990 was my favourite for England. So good that an old fart like me can still get excited by a football tournament.

It's been a great tourno so far, better than I thought it would be. Even the lesser footballing nations have some really good players. No easy games.

Who does Buchanon play for, and would he get a work permit? I really like the look of him.

If we can't get him, can we have their manager?

Brugge. Worth about £12m and increasing by the minute.

Incredible that Croatia with a population of only c4 million produce so many good players.

Don’t forget you can be any nationality, have a Croatian grandmother and you will qualify to play for them

Ah, not much chance then even if we did get promoted.

Really enjoying watching Canada, hope they can at least get something against Morocco as it looks like Croatias class may be too much for them today.

Even if you double the population for legacy, it's still very low. About the same as Wales and they allow qualification by grand parentage.

Wales allow qualification if you've been to Wrexham.

Oh yeah, I don’t disagree with you, they do incredibly well considering players that qualify to play for them

Who was that they just said us, Sheff Utd and Watford are linked with?

EDIT: Ah Kone, was that who we were after last summer?

There are lots of reasons that countries produce great footballers. Sadly one of the main reasons is grinding poverty.

Hmm I think it was Kone who gave the ball away leading to Croatia's 3rd.

Sounds perfect 😂

Think this has been my favourite game of the tournament so far.
