****The Official Lapps Match Thread v Stoke(h/L) *****

Recommended Posts

Looks like a match between two mid-table teams, which, I suspect, will be about right come the end of the season.

Hayden looks nowhere near the player we need him to be

It’s the great midfield regression experiment 😳👍🏼

Well done Gibbs. A bit of bite in midfield for a change.

Was thinking though, apart from Gunn, not one of our signings from last and this year is on the pitch.

That goal gave me very little pleasure. Out of absolutely nothing - good work from Gibbs and Pukki but let’s face it totally undeserved based on the run of play so far. We have been awful from minute one and even having scored we have gained absolutely zero lift in our performance. We look totally clueless.

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if there were still boos at half time here, even 1-0 up. I’m certainly not feeling like clapping and cheering them off…

Never underestimate the power of this team to throw away a lead.

how did we get close AND score ??

just covering scraps, really poor, lack of effort throughout the team.

Gibbs joined in 2021 from... well, we'll forgive him for that won't we?

Ramsey and Hayden.

Well, we're winning not much else to say really, two very poor sides playing a very dull half of football.

Hopefully we can really push on from here -that's if we win- though Smith does not inspire me whats so ever

Loans do not count. You know what I mean. Our big marquee signings are either abroad or on the bench. It makes you wonder about the recruitment. And if that is OK, then its how they are expected to play.

Its amazing that we are winning yet the majority still feel something isn't making us happy.

Lethargic & giving them far, far too much room. Very little athleticism in this team. At least Onel gives us some of that, still looks our most threatening player.

Oh look, Gibson's cocked it up. Again.
