One incident summed it up when Aarons was injured. DS could've taken the opportunity to gather the players, it was 0-0 and we were 3rd best on the night, drum that into them, give them some inspiration to go on and get something out of a game in which we deserved nowt. What did he do? Just stood there with his hands in his pockets. Fook off Smith, Webber and the Stowmarket 2

This happened in the last few games. Totally agree, quick huddle and some coaching. Are they not allowed to do this?

Said it before, but this is what we get for appointing a journeyman of a manager. He couldn't care less. If he gets sacked it'll be on to the next club. He's a pound shop Steve Bruce.

We need someone up and coming, hungry for success and grateful to be given the opportunity to manage Norwich City. Like Farke. Or Alex Neil. Or Paul Lambert. These were managers on their way up when they came to us, not on their way down like Smith is.

Think it's up to the fans to make some noise Saturday. Once Carrow turns there's no coming back for a manager. Although Webber would probably just keep him around to **** us common folk off.

Resign.

Why would any manager resign and forfeit a vast payout?

I agree with this, football moves quickly nowadays and you need a young, almost impressionable face who is willing to develop and adapt as things progress.

Can't see why we need to wait until the WC, nothing is going to change. He's run out of ideas, is not inspiring the players, lacks tactical nous, dreadful football.

He's lost the respect of the fans too, he's become a bit of a laughing stock really.

Of course they are allowed to do it and that's the point. Perfect opportunity to have a tactical chat, but no just chooses to stand there like a spare part. Presumably felt there was no need for a tactics chat as it was all going so well? If so what a tool. As I said 3rd best in a 2 team race, so so poor. He needs to go. No passion, verve or enthusiasm and certainly little tactical nous. SMITH OUT NOW

Referring to Webber, in context of the thread title..

Fair enough, but same principle applies

American manager employed by new American owners. Novel idea.

Something has to give here. Even Delia must be bored watching this style of football. Burnley were everything we should be. Pacey with movement off the ball. Plenty of width and got crosses in. Smith can't get these players to play and we look so cumbersome and leggy. Mitigating circumstances must be Dowell Sinani etc but again no pace. Has he been counting on Rowe to come through. Makes sending Rashica and Tzolis out even more of a strange decision.

**** off back up the mountain with Smith and Shakey and never return?

Would Shakespeare even be able to get himself up Kett's Hill? Get real.

I mean, that applies to every manager. Heck, it applied to Farke, Neil and Lambert when they left / were sacked. That's not really anything to label at Smith.

Kind of odd to take one sentence out of context like that. Yes, unless a manager retires or dies in service then they will inevitably move onto another club. I'd have thought that was self-evident. It's the preceding sentence that provides the context, ie. that he doesn't particularly care about the opportunity at Norwich and it is/was just another job to him. I am contrasting this with Farke, Neil and Lambert for whom managing Norwich was the pinnacle of their managerial careers at the time and and represented a huge opportunity for them.
