Making Plans 957 Posted February 26, 2006 To cheer myself up, I''ve just been watching the video of the above season. Wow, what a team we had then, they had everything -Skill, pace, determination, togetherness, the will to win, organisation, tactical awareness, shooting ability, passing ability, strength in depth, spirit, resolute defence (except v Blackburn away) and great players - Gunn, Culverhouse, Bowen, Crook, Sutton, Robins, Phillips, Butterworth, Newman, Fox and the like. Oh, nearly forgot, they had a half decent manager too !In fact the class of 92/93 was everything the class of 05/06 isn''t.Happy days.P.S. Has he gone yet ? Alex Harvey-Jones 0 Posted February 27, 2006 I wonder how the squad of that season would fare in the premiership today??
will c 0 Posted February 27, 2006 I watched that video the other night, and it was great to watch us play "The Norwich Way" instead of "The Worthless Way" - Get Mike Walker back as a coach?Time to find the 2003/04 season video and watch Gossa''s finest moments.....Another good watch is the 1988/89 Video - now that team could play! will c 0 Posted February 27, 2006 I meant the 1993/94 season for Gossa''s goals - "Jerry Goss is a Football Genius"
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted February 27, 2006
I wonder how the squad of that season would fare in the premiership today??
we had a top well balanced team - ala west ham and wigan.. so i think we could well be challenging for 4th spot with that side.So many premiership sides seem full of mercenaries, unbalanced and defensive. Its great to see attacking teams doing well again after the 4-5-1 fad of the last few years
