So,this evening on Tombland. A £50,000 car with a personalised number plate which leaves nobody in doubt which NCFC player it belongs to,I mean it actually spells his name,is parked,on its own,in a plainly signed disabled driver only designated parking space.Yes,the player is injured,but obviously NOT disabled!! I'm sorry but this smacks of an attitude of arrogance beyond compare. God the fella can afford a personal driver,let alone a taxi,but no its a case of " i'll just leave it here,because I want to and sod the fine,its nothing to me" This is where fines pro rata to your earnings should be enforced.

I earn decent money,drive a decent car,but would'nt do this,so why,why,do these people think they can.Rant over,but it bloody annoys me!!!

Who came off best? Whittaker was big but Argos is chunky.😇 you'd think they'd be more spacialy aware.

I've encountered the same player, presumably in the same vehicle, talking on a hand-held mobile while badly navigating a roundabout. Clearly a bit of a bell end as far as driving goes.

It's not a modern phenomenon, Justin Fashanu ended up in court due to his habit of parking anywhere and not paying the parking fines.

There might be a link between them being footballers and their disregard of this law or it might just be that some people just don't care.

This. Take some photos, perhaps record some evidence send it to the club and the local media.

 

Can guarantee once word gets out and his name and image are in the papers he won't do it again.. Or at least he won't without checking nobody is about first

Yep Tw@s with no kids parking in family spaces as well. There also seems to a be strange by law in Ireland which means that if you are driving a shiny 4x4 you can park anywhere incl double yellow lines on narrow streets if you only put on your hazard lights.... Circumvents all laws aparently.

No excuses for anyone that does this. If you are in the public eye you ought to have more sense than lay yourself open to such things, so easy to avoid getting yourself a bad name. Its the same, though, for anyone who does this kind of thing, in the public eye or not - and it's really easy - just don't be a kn0b.

As someone who lives on a street in Norwich city centre I can confirm that there is no shortage of members of the public who park selfishly and inconsiderately whilst flouting the parking regulations.

Since we're naming and shaming I can out both Grant Hanley and Ozan Kabak as City players who have clearly broken the parking regulations on my street.

While I agree that anyone is capable of being an inconsiderate to$$er, these guys are earning a fortune and are in the public eye. If you want the adulation and hero-worshipping you also have to suck up the scrutiny and criticism that comes with it.

Otherwise it’s just a mild inconvenience to the rich …

The only politician to implement this (in some ways rather socialist) policy was Ken Clarke if I remember correctly … but he backtracked quite quickly … (His fellow cabinet members probably whispered in his ear - punitive fines ? That’s for the little people!)
