Monchengladbach Watch

Gladbach should be qualifying for Europe on a regular basis, the last time they qualified for the Champions League they struggled keep their league form and that's what lead to the rapid changes in coaches.

The home defeat to Mainz this season had some supporters questioning Farke, it reminded me how NCFC struggled sometimes after dominating a game and then conceding 10 minutes into the 2nd half.

Since then the results have improved.

It's a very unfamiliar looking Bundesliga table so far this season, Union Berlin are top and undefeated and Bayern have only won 3 of their 7 games.

Hang on a min- the way people have been going on I thought they’d won every game?!

I guess we just get the reporting-back when they win, as we do when Tzolis has a good game….

Tzolis is injured, apparently.

Even though they were getting humped 4-0 at half time, Farke stuck to his guns and never made a substitution, in fact, just like when he was here, no subs were made until the 77th minute when they were 5-1 down! Some things never change 🤣🤣

Gladbach's defending was terrible, the OG by Bensebaini was comical.

Daniel says that making changes would've confused the players (there maybe some 'lost in translation' from the BMG web site).

Daniel Farke: Things like this unfortunately happen sometimes in football. We weren’t good enough in the first 20 minutes and lost the game then due to our defending. We couldn’t make a single pass in the first few minutes and lost every challenge. The third goal was a perfect example of that. We didn’t change everything after going a few goals down because we didn’t want to completely confuse the lads. They showed a good reaction after that. We had several chances to get back into the game and then didn’t afford them too many opportunities. Overall though, we definitely deserved to lose the game.

Really? 4-0 down and making changes would confuse the players? That just shows Farke is not as good a coach as many here claim, any decent Coach would have used half time to change a system and personnel but sadly, as was witnessed here many times, Farke had no nous how to get subs to effect a game.
