We waked round them for that goal. Onwards and upwards. PS Cirkin should go! Martin Canning isn't that inexperienced. He is only 40 but he was manager of Hamilton from 2015 to 2019. He's then been assistant coach and a fair few clubs, some high profile like Real Betis, Leicester, Celtic. I would say enough experience to be making better substitute decisions. Hank shoots Skyler 2,094 Posted August 27, 2022 Great win! Subs changed it, should’ve happened earlier. But turning the tide on the bad luck of the opening 3 games. Maybe Dean Smith isn’t quite such an unlucky manager after all?

Monty13 2,229 Posted August 27, 2022 Said it earlier, sign of a team likely to succeed in a season is you play poorly and still win. Job done. Also some luck equalling out after losing to Cardiff.
Ken Hairy 3,759 Posted August 27, 2022 Well very lucky to be at 0-0 at the time of the triple sub, but no question that changed the game Hanley absolutely superb.

Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 3,777 Posted August 27, 2022 Certainly rode our luck, but ultimately the difference was our strength in depth. Second in the league, by the way...

I've seen us play worse than today and get a win. What's not to love? You never quite know what show you are going to be seeing once that whistle at kick off is blown. That's the beauty of it. Quality told in the end. Only needs one moment of it.

Feedthewolf 4,844 Posted August 27, 2022 I was pretty sure we'd win after we made that triple change. The three AMs were all below par today, but being able to bring players of that quality off the bench is a bit of a cheat code in this division. Get Hayden fit and firing in front of that back four and we've got every chance of finishing in the top two this season. Also, Byram looked very solid, if he can stay fit he should be nailed on at LB until Dimi is back. Hanley MOTM by a country mile.
ricardo 7,345 Posted August 27, 2022 Scruffy game but the points are what count at the end of the season Second half we got a better grip but still not what it should be.
Robert N. LiM 4,241 Posted August 27, 2022 That's a really good win. Played very poorly but put bodies on the line. Superior quality up front told in the end. Really pleased for Hanley, who showed all his qualities today. And for Krul, who I bet is giving it the right big 'un now. Hurling that ball ten yards forward for the free kick near the end was elite sh1thousery. But mostly for the travelling fans. Enjoy the trip home, boys and girls.
